Sri Natanagopala 'NAYAKI SABADAM' was held on Sunday, 09.03.2014 at 11.30 am (Guru hOrai) at Kulaguru Nayaki Swami Sannadhi of Sree Seetharama Anjaneya Temple (Behind Alankar Theatre), Kamarajar Salai, Madurai - 625 009. This picture is produced under the banner Madurai Gopi Robot Arts Group by Sri (Thorali) T.K. Gopinath. He is the founder of this Group and producer and Director of this feature film.

PAAMARAN PAARVAIYIL KAMBAR(A Layman‘s View on Kambar)

‘Andamaan‘ T.N. KrishnamoorthiWhen we list the Literature Legends in Tamil, no one will miss the name of

Kamban. The Kamban’s creation popularly known as ‘Kamba Ramayanam’ (Rama Avathaaram – the name given by Kamban) is the Tamil version of the Ramayan written by Rishi Valmigi. Kambar made several changes in the epic

Ramayan to suit with the Tamil culture. The Kamba ramayanam is liked by many people not only because it is religious but also its contents are enriched literature. This is being propagated by the organization namely “Kamban Kazhagam” from Karaikudi as its Head Quarter. Its branches were also established around the world.

To reach the message of Kamban to the next generation, Shr i T.N. Kr ishnamoorthi (Thimmakkondu Nagasamy Krishnamoorthi), native of Paramakudi Sourashtrian, presently working in a Central Govt. establishment as a Deputy Chief Engineer in Andaman started his writings with humor mixed daily routine happenings (films star & TV serials also were not an exception) and finally concluded with Kamba ramayana poem.

Theses works were publ ished by him in his blog www.andamantamilnenjan.wordpress.com. Now he has released a few selected topics in the form of a book in Tamil titled “Paramaran Paarvaiyil Kambar” (A Layman’s view on Kambar) to reach the Kamban’s message to beyond electronic people. 23.02.2014 along with two other functions viz., the release of Audio CD of Sourashtra Film, 'egOs eno' and felicitation of six Sourashtra achievers in the presence of a large number of audience assembled in the 'Hudson Hall' of Tamilnadu Chamber of Commerce, Kamarajar Salai, Madurai, from 5.00 pm onwards.

”The Migran t S i l k Weaversof Tamilnadu- A study” written by Prof. C. S. Krishnamoorthy. – book release function at C.P. Ramaswami Aiyar Foundation, went on as scheduled on Saturday, 15.2.2014. I was personally invited by Prof. C.S.K and went to the venue with eminent Saurashtrologistand Sahi tya academy awardeeShri. K. R. Sethuraman.

Sir.C.P. Ramaswami Aiyer Foundation was indeed the right place for the release of this history book. The heritage building spoke volumes of history. The hall with a capacity of about 100 was decorated with historical photographs of Shri.C.P.Ramaswami Aiyer. The entire proceedings were in English.

Introductory speech was given by Shri C.S.K. Ravi. He introduced the members on the stage- Shri S. R. Eradha, Ex-Minister of Tamilnadu, Dr. Nandita Krishna, Hon Director of the C.P.Ramaswamy Aiyer Foundation. Dr. A. Chandrasekaaran, guest Prof. of the Dept. of History at Madras University, Prof. T. Chandrakumar, Retired Prof. and Head of the Dept. of Sculpture , Tamil University, Tanjore and Swamy Tatvabodhananda of Pondichery.

About Prof. C.S. Krishnamoorthy :

He completed his B.A., (Economics) and M.A., (History) and worked under the guidance of Dr. N. Subramanian an eminent historian. And this is a work of 30 years of research. Unfortunately, Prof. C. S.K. lost his briefcase containing all his research material to a thief in 1983. Yet without being dejected started again from scratch and has brought out this book, a product of 3 decades’ effort.

”I have great pleasure to have a number of scholars and eminent elites in this auditorium before me to see my book released on this auspicious day when I complete the 75th year of my birth”. Later he briefed to the audience and the scholars the contents of the book. SinceI (Konda Ravi) have not read the book, I will reserve my comment to a later date.

Then, Sri S. R. Eradha released the book and the first copy was received by Dr. Nandita Krishna. Then, Sri. S. R. Eradha spoke and from his speech we come to know that he is writing a book on his speeches in the assembly and will be released shortly. Then Dr.A.Chandrasekaran and Dr. Chandrakumar spoke their views. Finally Swamy Tatvabodhananda spoke which was really interesting with a lot of information.

After Swamiji, Shri R.R. Kubendran spoke on the dedication of Prof. C.S.K. in bringing out this book. The vote of thanks was given by Shri.C.S.K.Sathish.

I understood that this gathering was for invited audience only and about 50 to 60 persons were there. Some of the known faces among them were, Director S.S. Devadass, Sri Kuppal Devadass, Sri Raama Eashwarlal, Editor, ‘Juttysuns Ad page’, Sri T.S. Tulasiram, President of the Saurashtra Dharma Paripalana Seva Sangam, Sri S.N. Giridharalal son of 'Guru Seva Dureena' late Dr. N. Sankarlal. Six Bhagavathars and a 4 year old girl child had recited the above keerthana under the guidance of Sri K.K.
