Central intelligence The CAS control unit is the central intelligence of a vast network of managed CAS units.

Local automatism and individualism Each local auto-managed CAS unit generates itself encryption keys and ECM/EMM streams for further multiplexing. Hierarchical key concepts allow central dependency and local key individualism.

No local backup No backup of auto-managed CAS units is necessary. All required keys and configuration are mirrored by CAS control unit and covered by central backup. Each auto-managed CAS unit can be easily replaced in case of failure.

Ad-hoc redundancy Redundancy can be added anytime. Just select two auto-managed CAS units at local head-end for redundancy and both systems operate automatically in redundancy mode.

WSDL All CableView features are available as WSDL interface for integration into 3rd party software.

Multilingual CableView is the world’s first multilingual CAS configuration user interface. Users with translation rights are able to maintain a word database of their assigned languages. The administrator takes the editorial role and releases translations. Currently six languages are fully supported and this keeps growing.
