    Problem Statement

Use Aspen HYSYS to simulate the process of removing ammonia and

hydrogen sulfide from a waste water stream.

-Assume a waste water stream containing mass fractions of 0.988water, 0.005 ammonia, and 0.007 hydrogen sulfide.

-This waste water stream is at a temperature of 37.78C, a pressure of2.758 bar, and has a mass flow of 328,900 kg/h.

-The goal is to produce a stream with a maximum of 0.00005 mol%

ammonia while recovering 99% of the water in the waste water feedstream.
