A resounding success
1997: Our server was rated by the Wall Street Journal as one of the top 100 in Europe, as regards information on the economy.
1999: It was the statistical server with the most data for public use in Europe, and one of only a handful providing daily updated information on all short-term indicators.

This program is used to view statistical tables.
It offers:
- A simple user interface based on a spread sheet - Customised tables. What is the ISO?
The Inventory of Statistical Operations (ISO) contains the description of statistical activity of the Ministries, Bank of Spain and National Statistics Institute.
The inventory is a fundamental instrument for statistical coordination and planning.
The unit adopted as an inventory base is the statistical operation.

What does the CD-ROM contain? 13.- Timeliness and punctuality: European statistics must be disseminated in a timely and punctual manner.
– Timeliness meets the highest European and international dissemination standards.– A standard daily time is set for the release of European statistics.– Periodicity of European statistics takes into account user requirements as much as possible.– Any divergence from the dissemination time schedule is publicised in advance, explained and a new release date set.

15.- Accessibility and clarity: European statistics should be presented in a clear and understandable form, disseminated in a suitable and convenient manner, available and accessible on an impartial basis with supporting metadata and guidance
– Statistics are presented in a form that facilitates proper interpretation and meaningful comparisons.
– Dissemination services use modern information and communication technology and, if appropriate, traditional hard copy.
– Custom-designed analyses are provided when feasible and are made public.

– Access to microdata can be allowed for research purposes. This access is subject to strict protocols.
– Metadata are documented according to standardised metadata systems.
– Users are kept informed on the methodology of statistical processes and the quality of statistical outputs with respect to the ESS quality criteria

The Users service has specialised personnel who will advise users and offer them specific guidelines for making requests for information and subsequently will conduct a study and a specific compilation adapted to their needs.

Tailor-made requests are carried out with 2 limitations:
-Statistical secrecy, as data that facilitate direct or indirect identification of a specific citizen or institution cannot be provided to public or private institutions.
-The representativity of data obtained when sample investigations are carried out.

Strict protocols apply to outside users accessing microdata sets for research purposes.
From June 2005, microdata sets sourced from 22 statistical operations and made anonymous to maintain confidentiality ( free of charge ).
ASCII files structured into fields which capture for each individual record of the survey the values taken by each variable.
