Covid-19 Regulations
The safety of you our customers and our staff is our highest priority and all visitors to the sale venue are expected to comply with any notices and follow any guidance issued
by our auctioneers and staff. Failure to do so may result in a refusal to accept bids or result in being asked to leave.
To enable this sale to go ahead and therefore giving you the opportunity to buy quality
second hand equipment, several precautions and changes to our pre Covid procedures will be in place. Some of these precautions and changes may result in small delays but
are for your benefit and that of the wider community and include the following:
The viewing hours have been extended.
Parking - there will be ample room for space between cars.
The lots will be set out with more space between them.
The auctioneers will be selling from a mobile rostrum and using microphones.
An increased number of toilet/hand hygiene and washing facilities will be
supplied.
Our registration and accounts office will be screened.
Internal inspections of tractor cabs and other vehicles will be strictly controlled
as will clearance.

We encourage the use of our Bid for You Form and Phone bids are possible -
please contact the Auctioneers prior to the sale day.
Bidding will be by Bid Cards so no shouting will be necessary.
All attendees to both the viewing and the sale must register and have proof of
identification. All attendees must be 18 years old or above.
A minimum number of representatives is requested.

Machinery Sales Notice to Purchasers – Clients Premises 2020
Travel - See directions on page 5 of sale catalogue. Signs to the sale will be roadside in the
vicinity of the sale.
Parking – Our staff will be present on the day to assist with car parking. Please follow signs
and instructions from the stewards.
Viewing – From 2-6pm on Monday 20th July and from 8am on morning of sale (Tuesday
21st July).
Health & Safety – Kivells and their seller clients do not accept any liability for any damage
or injury to persons, vehicles, plant, machinery, equipment or any lot not arising out of their
negligence. Any person entering the saleground does so at their own risk, must comply with
the requirements of any Health and Safety notices and guidelines and be appropriately
dressed. All persons entering the saleground are hereby given notice that there are
significant risks due to the range and display of equipment, vehicle movement and the nature
of the premises. Caution should be exercised and children must be fully supervised at all
times. No vehicle will be allowed in the lot layout areas during the sale without the express
permission of the Auctioneers. Permission from the Auctioneers is required ahead of
starting powered equipment or machinery. Any incidents or accidents on the saleground
should be reported to Kivells pay office immediately. Kivells reserve the right to refuse
admission to any person or vehicle into the saleground without giving reason.
Registration and Conditions of Sale - In order to bid all Buyers are required to register
before the auction, at the Pay Office. All Buyers unknown to the Auctioneers will be asked
for two forms of identification. Acceptable identification includes Driving Licence/Passport
together with a Business Card/Utility Bills/Proof of Address/Business Letter Heading. The
Auctioneers reserve the right to request a deposit ahead of any purchase or during sale
proceedings. It is strongly recommended that Bidders and Buyers visit Kivells.com and read
Kivells Standard Terms and Conditions of Sale ahead of the sale. You will be signing to the
effect that you have read, agree with and will abide by those Conditions and these Notice
to Purchasers.
Payment - All Lots must be paid for on the day of the Sale by the Buyer prior to any
removal or consolidation unless alternative arrangements have been agreed with the
Auctioneers. Payment will only be accepted from the successful purchaser or their duly
appointed agent. Any payment is to be by a means approved by the Auctioneers and include
the Buyers Commission and VAT. Our terms are strictly cash, Bank Transfer, Debit Card,
NO Credit Cards accepted.

Payment in Cash – In order to comply with money laundering regulations we will not
accept Cash payments above the maximum permitted at the time of sale. The maximum
varies according to exchange rates and currently it is circa £7,000 -£9,000. Buyers are
advised to check with the Auctioneers ahead of the sale.
Commission/Buyers Premium - All Lots will be subject to a Buyers Commission, VAT
at the standard rate will be charged on all commissions. Buyers shall pay Commission to
the Auctioneers at the following rates:-
• 10% on any single lot up to and including £2000
• 5% on any single lot over £2000

Value Added Tax – Please be aware some lots will be subject to VAT and therefore VAT
will be charged in accordance to the current rate and added to all accounts and is applicable
to the Commission/Buyers Premium.
Bidding for You – The Auctioneers will bid on your behalf if written instructions are
received on the form supplied, adequate time is available to enter such bids and you have
previously inspected the lot.
Descriptions of Lots - Buyers should satisfy themselves prior to making bids as to the
condition of any Lot and should rely on their own judgement as to whether the Lot accords
with its description. All Lots are sold with all faults and imperfections and errors of
description.
Risk – All lots remain at the risk of the Buyer from the fall of the hammer and it is strongly
advised that the Buyer effects insurance immediately.
Removal of Lots – Lots can only be removed once payment has been made. All lots need
to be cleared from the saleground by 6:00 PM SALE DAY unless alternative arrangements
have been agreed with the Auctioneers. No removal of lots will be permitted until after the
conclusion of the selling unless agreed by the Auctioneers.
Note - Images and videos are taken during auction events for marketing purposes such as
Social Media, Press Releases, Website etc. Unless you advise Kivells in writing that you do
not wish to appear in such information it will be assumed that you have no objections.
Refreshments and Facilities - A refreshment vehicle will be on site providing hot/cold
drinks etc. Toilet facilities will also be available.
Remarks: Kivells of Exeter are delighted to have been favoured with the instruction to conduct this complete dispersal sale on behalf of Messrs PC & C Cox following the dispersal of the dairy herd at Exeter Livestock Centre and having been instructed to sell the farm.

Order of Sale The Sale will commence at 11am in the field with the smaller lots followed by the
larger Machinery and Tractors. The Feed bin and Molasses tank are situated in the
farm yard and will be sold at the end.
(Please note that the items will not be sold in this order as laid out in
the catalogue).
