(Macon, GA) On September 10 th and 11 th , Historic Macon Foundation will host Discovery Days 2010, Macon’s own version of Antiques Roadshow, at the Sidney Lanier Cottage. Roderick A. Hardy, president of Atlanta-based firm Hardy/Halpern, Inc., will be on-site at the Sidney Lanier Cottage at 935 High Street to voluntarily give expert verbal appraisals of antiques. A Senior Appraiser in the American Society of Appraisers, Hardy brings over 30 years of experience in the industry to Macon. The event will take place on Friday, September 10 th from 1:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M. and Saturday, September 11 th from 9:00 A.M. until 4:00 P.M. Director of Development for Historic Macon, Janis Haley, said, “Discovery Days is a wonderful opportunity for people in the central Georgia area to finally find out how much some of their most precious heirlooms are worth or maybe even discover that their old flea market doo-dads are really worth thousands.” Reservations are required for the event. There is a $25 reservation fee and each item appraised will be $15. Participants will receive 10 minutes for their first item and 5 minutes for each subsequent item with Rod Hardy.
