TABLE OF CONTENTS WHAT’S HAPPENING
This revolutionary work has been revived many times and in many different translations, but it has always been a sensation. The original premiere was in Berlin in 1928 and the first Broadway production was in 1933. The setting is London’s Soho before and during the coronation of Queen Victoria. The master criminal Macheath prowls the back streets of London introducing us to a motley crew of timeless characters. The cast is largely made up of criminals, beggars and tarts. In his libretto, theatrical giant Bertolt Brecht is interested in exposing corrupt officials of a sad and vicious society and holding a mirror up to our own. It is the legendary Kurt Weill score that is actually what has made this show a classic. Who among us won’t hum along as the show opens with the classic, “Mack the Knife.”
PRESENTS:
Test your endurance with the Army Hawaii 10-Mile Race around Wheeler. The event is free for Active Duty Soldiers and costs $8 for all other eligible runners. Anyone who wants an event T-shirt can purchase when registering for an additional $10.
This race is open to Active Duty Soldiers, Retired Soldiers, National Guardsmen, Army Reservists and their adult Family Members (18 and older), other military members as well as DOD and AAFES Civilians working or living on an Army installation in Hawaii.

Hooah and a Big Happy Birthday to the U.S. Army!
Join us as we celebrate Army Traditions with the Soldiers that help get us through our daily missions on June 11, 2010 at the Nehelani!
Be sure to show your Unit pride and proudly display your Unit Colors. This is an opportunity to mix and mingle with leaders that
have brought their battle buddies with them, and to show the “new guys” what Right Arm Night is really all about. This event will begin
at 4:30 p.m. and all are welcome to attend. $7 in advance, $8 at the door. Enjoy live music, a pupu buffet, games and prizes, and a
little “friendly” competition. Congratulations to 2nd Battalion, 27th Infantry Regiment (The Wolfhounds) who are the defending Right Arm Night Tug-Of-War Champs and won $250 in Unit Funds!Who
will be ready to take them on?
