Hello parents – a huge thank you to those who have signed up and using our new Sangha app! I spoke with the support team earlier this week and they were so complimentary of our school. They were pleased with how quickly our parents joined the app. We are almost at 100% participation – thank you parents! For those that are hesitant or who still haven’t joined, I encourage you to download the app. Sangha (means community) is a tool used to connect and simplify interactions between parents, teachers, and schools. This new communication tool brings our school messages, calendars, events, consent forms, and volunteering right to our parents’ fingertips. Just download the app – it’s free! If you haven’t received an invitation, please let me know, I will make sure information is sent to you. An invitation was sent out Thursday evening, only those who have not signed up should have received the invitation. You will need to turn on the push notifications on your phone so you are able to receive the alerts. If you have questions or problems, contact [email protected], make sure to tell them you are a St. Pius parent. Fifth grade performed service at the North Texas Food Bank. They worked for a program called, “Food 4 Kids”. This program provides hungry children in Dallas with food for the weekend when they are not able to have free breakfast and lunch at school. The students worked hard and pack-aged 4,688 meals which was 5,625 pounds of food. All the students thought the work was fun and many commented they wanted to come back and do this again. The employee from the Food Bank who worked with the students commented that they were invited back anytime. She has never had a group of students work so hard and follow directions so well. She said this is one of the best groups of school students she has ever seen. Way to represent your school well FIFTH GRADE!
