Class Frequently
Possible Cause:
o Not interested to the lesson
o Do not like the teacher
Possible Solution:
o Clear your policy from the beginning.
o Ask the student to stay after class to discuss the
problem.
o Focus on distraction to others and content missed.
oAsk student if theres a reason
o Prepare a good lesson plan

2. Inappropriate Chatter
Possible Cause:
o Love to talk and chat
o Eager to share stories with friend
Possible Solution:
o Casually move toward the talkers.
o Ask (without sarcasm) for their input.
o
Call on others near them.o Make a general statement that you need everyones
attention.
o Ask the student(s) to stay after class to discuss
problems.

Possible Cause:
o Do not given opportunity
o Low self-esteem
Possible Solution:
o Ask a variety of questions (factual, open-ended,
exploratory, etc.).

o Provide a writing prompt first, and then ask people
to share ideas.

10. Disrespect
Possible Cause:
o Do not have patience
o Do not like the teacher
Possible Solution:
o Stay calm; keep in mind that the student may have
other issues.
o Talk very quietly to the student.
o Tell the student you will be happy to talk after class.
o Give the student a way to back down without losing
face.

Disciplinary problems in school can be resulted of a carry overeffect of problems faced at home.
Death of family members, a divorce, an illness or child abuse can
become triggers for problematic behaviour in school. Acting out in class is a way students who feel helpless about
their home situations feel like they still have some control.

Peer Related
Peer pressure can be the cause of the discipline problems in
classroom.
Student tries to gain control of the class. They are trying to be
in charge and refuse to accept the directions of the teacher.
Must be dealt with by the teacher in a firm manner. Only one
person can be in charge.

School exercising too much coercion and by failing to provide
students with relevant and meaningful space.
Some students may feel that their schools keep a tight rein on
their movement and behaviour in school, having to obey the
authority of teachers and the school system without question.

a student is not given the space to develop their own identity
and this can lead students to rebel.

There may be a students who do not hand in their work on timenot because they are lazy or the desire to rebel against the
authority but because they are unable to complete the task due
to inability to follow the lessons. In most cases, students with learning issues require a specialized
education plan to teach to their needs.

Student misbehaves as a reaction to a situation or action of the
teacher. Often follows punishment.
Often a reaction to save face with peers .
Avoid this behavior by: handling all discipline matters
privately.Never lose your temper!
