Peter Berg - Director Michael Benjamin Bay is an American film director and producer. He is well known for his directing of big budget films characterised by fast edits, stylistic visuals and extreme use of special effects. The films which he directed include, Armageddon (1998), Pearl Harbour and the science fiction action films the Transformers series, have grossed over US$5 billion. Like most people in the film industry Bay started his career at a young age, he started off filing storyboards and eventually directing commercials and music videos, after a while Bay’s success gained the attention of Producers Jerry Bruckheimer and Don Simpson, who selected Bay to direct his first feature-length film, Bad Boy. Bay had started off directing normal Action films but as the time went by he started to broaden his horizons and found out he had a taste for action films with a lot of explosions, this had led to Bay co-producing as well as directing the action-adventure film Armageddon. Bay in 2007 directed and teamed up with Steven Spielberg to produce transformers a live action film based on the transformers franchise. The film was a major box office hit which grossed in $319million domestically and over $708million worldwide. This had led Bay to return as director and executive producer for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. Based on looking at which films Michael Bay has directed I can know that this is not something which my group will focus on in during out opening sequence since our film will not be about having science fiction aspects
