Give them 3 minutes to review the timeline and ask them to write down what they believe are the four most important events that are not thresholds. They should write a sentence or two to justify their choices. Have students share their responses and keep a tally on the board to keep track of which events were chosen by more than one student. Call on individual students to justify their choices. Ask students if they think their ideas about what is most important in the history of the Universe have changed since the start of the year.
