Directions and Tips for Viewing the Learning Videos 1. On the left of the Resource Center you will find the menu. Learning Videos is the second section. This section has two or more subsections depending on the current training offering. Your current training contract with ECi Software Solutions enables your access to the FREE Learning Videos. In the other section, Training Plan Videos, access is based on the training contracts and products you have purchased. Click the name to open the desired section. FREE Learning Videos – Offers access to videos that are free for users to view without a training contract but have a current maintenance contract. Typically add on a products and new feature videos are found here. Learning Videos – Videos for customers with active training contracts. Web Training Series – These sections, when available offer customers who have purchased the respective training session access to the recorded videos for the session. These sections are posted for a specific period of time and change from time to time. 2. Directions and Tips for Viewing the Learning Videos

1. On the left of the Resource Center you will find the menu. Learning Videos is the second section. This section has two or more subsections depending on the current training offering. 3. If there are multiple videos, click on the desired video. Each clickable location contains one or more videos. Clicking the subsection of a modular section will open up a list of video topics and their corresponding length or a table of videos you can access for that section.

4. Once the topic name from the list of videos is clicked, your web browser opens a video screen. There is a play button to start the video. You can also enlarge the video size by clicking the bottom right button with arrows pointing outward toward the corners. Note: You must have the current version of Adobe Flash to view these videos.

5. When you are done viewing the video, click the back button on your browser and you will be returned to the video topic list.

Video Tips Logging In

1. You access the ECi e-automate site by going to the site http://servicetechnology.ecisolutions.com

2. Once you are on the site you can access the training videos by clicking the Customer Login link

3. On the e-automate Customer Login page, in the User Name field, enter the user name you

were assigned.

Note: If you do not know your user name, contact e-automate customer care and they can provide that information to appropriate users in your company.

4. In the Password field, carefully enter your password. Note: If you do not know your password, contact e-automate customer care and they can provide that information to appropriate users in your company.

5. Click the Log In button to login to the site. Tips:

If your login fails, return to the customer login page and refresh the page. Refresh the page, forcing the page to load again from the server by clicking <Cntrl> + <R> or you can also use F5. You will note that your User Name is removed and the field name displays again.

If your maintenance contract has expired, you are restricted from the site. To renew your maintenance contract, contact your Account Manager [email protected] to inquire how to resolve an expired maintenance contract.

If you have paid your maintenance contract and still cannot access due to an expired maintenance contract, contact [email protected].

If you are having trouble with your User Name or Password, contract [email protected] and they can work with you to reset your password and adjust your User Name as allowed.

Browsers ECi Recommends using the Chrome browser when viewing training videos. ECi e-automate has seen the most consistent success for users watching videos with the Chrome browser so we recommend the browser. If you are having difficulty viewing training videos, we suggest you try different browsers, Internet Explorer of Firefox. If you are have having trouble viewing videos, we have seen some people solve issues by clearing their browser cache. If you are using Chrome, click the three dots on the top right and select Settings.

In the resultant window, click the link to Show advances settings… Under the Privacy heading, you can click the Clear browsing data… button. ECi suggests you clear your Browsing history, Cached images and files, and Cookies and other plugin data. You can determine the amount based on how long you have been having issues. When in question, remove from the beginning of time. If you are unsure how to clear your browsers cache, cookies et cetera, a quick internet search for your browser typically offers step by step instructions on how to accomplish similar steps in your browser.

Viewing Problems If you are having issues with watching videos we suggest the following:

Bandwidth Work with your network administrator to assure you have sufficient bandwidth for steaming videos.

Operating System Assure that your operating system is current and up to date.

Multiple Tabs Chrome can have issues playing videos when there are multiple tabs open. If you are having issues playing videos and you have multiple tabs open, try closing all the tabs except one and then attempt to play the video.

Multiple Videos On some of our pages there are multiple embedded videos, currently Chrome can only handle six sockets open at a time. This means that you cannot play or have multiple videos

playing at a single time. We suggest refreshing the page and only attempting to launch and pause one video at a time. A very similar limitation is also found in Internet Explorer and Firefox.

Flash Some of our videos that are still content correct but produced in prior year use Adobe Flash as a tool for display. We also recommend you have the most recent version of Adobe Flash.

Network There are a number of network settings that can determine whether or not if you can watch video. Routers and firewalls can also determine if you can or cannot watch a video. If you have unexplained reasons for not being able to view a video, we recommend you try a different PC, try watching the videos from home on another network. If you can watch them on another PC or from home, work with you network professional to diagnose and solve the issue.

Browser plugins There are a number of plugins or extensions that people use to enhance their experience online. Ad blockers can also cause videos to play erratically or not at all. We suggestion checking your plugins or disabling them and reattempting to watch videos.
