What is a direct object pronoun?

It replaces the direct object with a pronoun.

DOPs in Spanish

• me (me)• te (you fam)• lo (him/it/you)• la (her/it/you)

• nos (us)• os (y’all)• los (them:

masc/mixed or you plural)

• las (them:fem or you plural: fem)

The DOP will always be

• In front of the conjugated verb.

OR

• Attached to the end of an infinitive verb phrase
