Community partner: Crim Fitness Foundation Lindsay worked with the Crim Fitness Foundation to increase Flint Community Training Program’s efficiency and participant satisfaction during implementation. She assessed the program’s success by conducting pre- and post-training fitness assessments and improved communications between Crim leaders.

Community partner: 100K Ideas
Patrick worked on business development, marketing strategy, and outreach to get 100K Ideas off the ground. He met with preliminary test clients to outline and refine how 100K Ideas could better serve innovators from a variety of backgrounds. He created a marketing implementation plan and helped connect students and community partners to the business.

Community partner: Hurley Medical Center
Agnes worked with Dr. Mona Hana-Attisha’s Pediatric Public Health Initiative healthinformatics team on the Flint Kids Report Card project. Designed to evaluate how Flint kids are doing every year, the Report Card strives to offer better health care for them in the future and prioritizes changes that the city can make for children.

Community partner: Whaley Children’s Center
Dominique developed an Independent Living Skills Program. She worked with Whaley Children’s Center to facilitate various courses aimed at preparing Whaley’s teens for independent living circumstances. The program focuses on three pillars of learning: self-care, life skills, and community engagement.

Community partner: Flint Ferris Wheel Innovation Center
Gina worked on client curation and marketing strategy for the Ferris Wheel and initiated meetings, showings, and proposals for interested clients. Gina led social media launch for the Ferris Wheel, creating a brand image to attract more interest and business.

Community partner: Ruth Mott Foundation
Flint native Rayshawn partnered with the Ruth Mott Foundation to create a youth engagement model for the community members in north Flint. He conducted research on similar models around the area and nationwide. He also created a survey to gain insight from Flint youth and held focus groups with youth associated with local organizations.
