What is theDiploma of Quality Auditing?The Diploma of Quality Auditing is a Nationally Recognised Qualification for those wanting to develop their career in internal audit, quality assurance, governance and risk management.

This course is designed to provide learners with the knowledge and practical skills to undertake professional work, incorporating technical aspects of internal auditing and quality assurance into a range of organisational contexts.

The Diploma of Quality Auditing has been superseded in October 2020. The new version requires the completion of twelve units of competency (instead of 8 in previous version), and prescribes four core units. ROI Institute Australia has created a training product with a solid foundation in Quality Assurance and Compliance, for people who want to become qualified Lead Auditors.

Compliance continues to be a major concern for the boards, CEO’s, and senior management of most organisations, with increasing risks associated with new levels of complexity and pace of changes in legislative and regulatory requirements.

Quality auditing is a foundation of good governance. Auditors are expected to assess the effectiveness of the organisation’s compliance framework including identification, risk assessment, understanding, monitoring, handling noncompliances, continuous improvement, and reporting.

COURSE STRUCTURE

This course consists of five modules including 12 units of competency. The first module is considered the entry point for the course, and focuses primarily on maintaining professional standards, technical aspects of internal auditing, and communication skills.

The second module is focused on risk management and the importance of having a risk based approach for the audit function.

The third module will provide you with the skills and knowledge required to analyse and interpret compliance requirements that affect the organisation’s operations, and develop internal quality systems to manage regulatory requirements efficiently.

The fourth module addresses issues related with the dynamics and challenges of maintaining a compliant and efficient continuous improvement system.

The last module is focused on the application of advanced auditing skills, as well as professional, interpersonal and management skills, within a specific workplace.

Hold a Certificate IV qualification, or relevant working experience (minimum 12 months), in their proposing business environment (i.e. RTO, Government, Non-forprofit, Safety, IT Governance, Health and Safety).

Access to a suitable workplace (required to complete compulsory work placement component).

Course fees

Course Duration

The total cost of the course is $3,750, payable in weekly instalments of $72 per week.

Organisations have the option to pay the full fees at the start of the course and obtain a 10% ($375) discount. This option is not available to individuals.

On average, individuals take 12 months to complete this course. However, this time may vary depending on learners’ prior skills, knowledge and experience. Our historical data shows average completion times 10 – 15 months.
