• ODPs are key members of the perioperative team.

• They work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure that patients receive the highest standards of care through their perioperative journey.

• As an ODP you will deliver expert, compassionate care throughout all phases of this journey to enhance the experience of patients and their carers.

Operating Department Practice

• Redesigned and exciting programme which enables students to become competent, highly sought after, effective and adaptive professionals

• Endorsed by the College of Operating Department Practitioners (CODP)

• Eligibility to apply for registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)

The qualification

• Highly integrated and focused 2-year course

• High emphasis on developing your clinical practice- 60% of the programme is in the practice setting

• Theoretical modules are delivered through the use of lectures, simulation, seminars, clinical skills lab work, action learning sets, SoMe, home learning etc.
