• Faith (believing He is just as He said)

• Rewards those who do not quit but diligently seek Him unto the end of their lives

• God’s approval: 2, 4, 5, 6

• Man’s mind:1, 3 and obedience 4-5

Diligently Seek Him• Heb 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him:

• Casually, Occasionally, Sporadically Seek Him

• Diligence - to use speed, make effort, be prompt or earnest (exerting maximum energy)

• Not to earn our salvation: Luke 17:10

• But in appreciation for the grace of God

• We seek Him (not His help in times of need)

2 Peter 1• 5 And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your

faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;• 10 Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to

make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:

• 15 ...I will endeavour that ye may be able after my decease to have these things always in remembrance.

• Peter wanted to remind them in a way that they would remember after he was gone.

Understand Diligently Seeking:

• A College Degree: All night study session

• A Girl: write, read, call, visit…

• A Career: expensive school, long hours, give up social life, relocate…

• A Championship: exercise, eat, sleep, train…

• Each involves: Sacrifice, Activity, and Continual Dedication until the goal is reached

and more, but we have not reached our goal yet

• Diligently seeking God is more than perfect attendance, daily study, frequent prayer, fervent singing, and generous giving…

Not Just What We Do, But How We Do It, And Why We Do It

• We do what we do because God said it• We do what we do with appreciation• We give all we can realizing it is never enough • We live the life of faith diligently seeking God
