DIGITAL SIGNAGE

With the launch of LD750DGN-FHK LG Display is setting a

new benchmark for large format displays at outdoor plac-

es. The 75” panel works with a direct LED backlight and

generates amazing 3000 nits. By offering native 3840 x

2160 pixel the display situates ideally for short distance

viewing as well as big signage for longer distance. Because

of the 4 x higher resolution than FHD even small graphics

and text is readable.

It is quite amazing that the display consumes only 600 Watt.

The lower power consumption is a result of the new M+

technology from LG Display, which is increasing the trans-

parency of the display. Naturally, this will save energy costs,

but gives also a positive impact to the heat management

system, which could be simpler and requires less mainte-

nance.

Because of a slim bezel the displays can be positioned side-

by-side and working as an alternative for an LED video wall.

In order to protect the display from the sun load effect

(“blackening”) LG Display is utilizing a liquid, which is work-

ing in an extended temperature range up to 110°C.

Controlling LD750DGN-FHK1

75“ high brightness panels are dedicated to be installed

in outdoor environment. Thus, it is essential to work with

reliable controller solutions. Support or swap is expensive.

We offer a solution from Digital View tailored for the panel

LD750DGN-FHK1.

This new controller model was designed for 4K Ultra-HD

LCD panels with resolutions up to 4096x2160, with LVDS,

V-by-One or eDP connectivity at 60Hz. 120Hz panels are

supported using the IE-2000 add-on board. The high res-

olution, multi-purpose SVX-4096 also supports motion

smoothing and image flip together with an extensive com-

mand set over Ethernet and RS-232.

The controller has HDMI 2.0/1.4 and DVI Dual Link and Dis-

playport 1.2 inputs with board mounted industry standard

input connectors for easy enclosure design. The very ex-

tensive feature set ensures suitability for a wide range of

commercial applications. The SVX-4096 is supported by a

wide selection of panel connection cables and other acces-

sories together with system development documentation,

including 3D drawings.

Slim Bezel, lightweight, wide viewing angle and especially

high brightness mixed with low power consumption. These

are the ideal specifications for displays dedicated to shop

window applications. This is exactly what the brand new

LD490EPN-UKH1 is offering. LG Display designed the panel

particularly for such environment.

An edge LED backlight keeps the housing depth small. The

superior IPS-technology guarantees a wide viewing angle

of 89/89/89/89 degrees. The brightness is already specified

with 1500 nits. In addition, LG`s “Shineout”- technology is

increasing the brightness by utilizing the incoming light

partly.

As a result, it ends up in a superb legibility under high

brightness conditions. This is the basic for the scope of ad-

vertisement campaigns and its effectiveness. By launching

LD490EPN-UKH1 LG Display deliver the evidence that high

brightness does not mean high power consumption neces-

sarily. The power consumption is specified with 96,5 Watt

(max.), which is similar to conventional panels with half of

the brightness. Thus, by using the panel indoor a cooling

system is not required. In addition, this panel is utilizing

extended temperature liquid to prevent the sun load ef-

fect (“blackening”). The orientation of the display could be

in landscape or portrait mode. It has an integrated filter

(QWP) in order to guarantee the legibility also if wearing

polarised sunglasses.

Usually, sunshine makes us happy, rays of sunlight revive

the spirits of human being. However, the ordinary TFT-Dis-

play is not amused by direct sunlight. As a non-reflective

technology, it has to battle against an overpowering oppo-

nent, which is able to produce more than 100k lux in a peak.

Nevertheless, displays should be readable under these cir-

cumstances as well. By adding high brightness backlight to

the TFT-displays, we will get an excellent legibility. Litemax

is specialized in tuning TFT`s for such environments. The

shown displays having a brightness of 1600 nits, which is

sufficient for close distance in the typical POS or kiosk ap-

plication. The backlight design impresses with the efficient

LED-controller with low power consumption and designed

Square of the circle. It is not only a geometric exercise but

also a practical challenge to display round logos or picto-

grams in an efficient and space saving way. A monitor with

common 16:9 format is not an ideal device as a large active

area would be redundant. The solution is the display MS-

SF-2735-A in a square. The monitor comes with a resolu-

tion 945 x 1080 pixel and reaches a diagonal size of 69 cm

Open Frame Monitore

Open-Frame monitors are a simple and convenient way to

display product information at the Point-Of-Sale. The pan-

el-sets have a universal controller unit and are embedded in

a ruggedized metal housing. They are easy to integrate in a

cabinet or wall with the enclosed mounting brackets. Open

–Frame monitors from MSC Technologies are based on a

modular concept. Depending on the optical requirements,

customer can select displays from different manufacturer

(AUO/NLT/Sharp). Although the displays have some minor

differences, common features are the FHD resolution and

the industrial classification. The brightness of app. 400 nits

ensures that the content is visible at indoor applications

and not hidden in the dark. Available video interfaces are

HDMI or Display port. Currently two models are available in

the size of 15,6 and 18,5 inch. The orientation of the state-

of-the-art 16:9 format could be in landscape and portrait

mode. Multi-finger PCAP-Touch designed and supported

from MSC Technologies can be added, connected by USB

to the media player. Other sizes are in preparation.

Digital Mirror

Modern appliances have to stay operable under difficult

light situations, including readability and reduction of re-

flections of the display units. Especially very bright exter-

nal light will result in difficulties to read the content of a

display, e.g. in emergency rooms or due to direct sunlight

in outside applications. To counteract, enhancements such

as optical bonding of the display to the front touch panel

The merit of sustainable advertisement is to place the mes-

sage in the subconscious mind. A digital mirror is embed-

ded in natural environment and operates in a non-overpow-

ering way. The perception of the commercial is more gentle

and friendly. Thus, the products from iFace are more than

a mirror or a digital information board. The commercial

panels inside together with a customized and patent-pro-

tected reflective surface have an eye-catching feature em-

bedded. It is the surprising effect, which makes the product

outstanding. Digital mirrors will be installed at prominent

places like elevators or as shop furniture. The digital mirror

suits ideally for commercial, hospitality, various Points-of-

Sale (POS) or even private environments, offering a perfect

display to capture the attention of customers, shoppers,

viewers, passers-by via displaying messages, promotion or

other relevant content types. The products could be stan-

dard types from 22-65” or tailor-made to adopt the envi-

ronment. The solution is an autonomous working unit with

integrated player and content managed from Cloudcasting.

on the same optical clarity. The synchronized technology of

sensor and controller offers best EMI results in an electrical

noisy situation.

Digital Poster

In general, a poster is a large printed picture or graphic on

a piece of paper. Surprisingly one of the outstanding fea-

tures of paper is that it is paper-thin. It can be mounted

easily by some drawing pins or adhesive tapes. The real

disadvantage is that new content requires a new piece of

paper. Moreover, it will be invisible in the dark. A LED-light

box display will solve this issue. They are slightly thicker

and need a power supply. However, the problem with the

non-changeable content is still the same. In case of the hot-

test boy-group and its fundamental influence on teenager’s

life it will be reasonable. Nevertheless, professional appli-

cations require fast response and different commercials in

a short frequency. For those applications, digital contents

are created. But it's no fun if the monitor looks like a closet

instead a piece of paper. The introduced digital poster de-

serves its name. The depth is max. 27mm which is the level

of an ordinary picture frame. With its lightweight of just

6 Kg it is easy to mount on a wall. Just a power source is

needed. The monitor is carrying an integrated media player

and the content will be updated by an USB-stick. Optional-

ly a WLAN module can be added. The displays utilized are

commercial panels offering a long life time and wide-view-

ing angle. This guarantees the legibility from all sides. Stan-

dard bezel colour is black or white, but custom designs are

possible on request. Beside the 27” also 32” and 55” digital

poster are available.

With the Fujitsu Kit Solution it is possible to cost-efficient-

ly build your own custom-made IPC, perfectly fitted for its

intended area of operation. Customers have the choice

between two Fujitsu industrial Mini-ITX mainboards, the

D3433-S with the Intel® Q170 chipset and the D3434-S with

the Intel® H110 chipset. Both mainboards can be equipped

with Intel® 6th generation processors (up to 35W TDP). It is

possible to drive up 3 independent displays (D3434-S only

2 displays) via the integrated Intel® HD graphics. For display

connection there are 2 x DP v. 1.2 with 4K resolution sup-
