For this project… You will be starting with an

original image, or you can combine 2-3 images.

Then you will add a new layer on top and you will experiment with the Paint Brush Tool.

Experiment with different brush shapes, sizes, and hardnesses.

You will also experiment with filters…

These are found in the filters menu.

But remember, you must be on a copied layer to apply the filter.

Otherwise you will change the original image.

We always want to save the original image without changing it as the background layer.

And Blend Modes… Remember, you need to be on the top

layer (of the ones you want to blend) and have the move tool active.

Then hold down Shift and + to scroll through blending modes.

Or just use the drop down menu in the layers palette.

Now for the technical requirements for this project…• RGB mode, 300 ppi, 8X10 inches

• .jpg file submitted to your folder on the :K drive in the correct project # folder

• File is named Project #(First Initial Last Name). For example Project1KMedak.jpg

• Original images are submitted in the images folder found inside the Project # folder in your folder on the :K drive

Remember… you will need to save ALL of your

images, projects, and step-by-step explanations (of how you manipulated the images) for your final Powerpoint presentation!
