While almost everyone wants to live to a ripe old age, no one actually wants to be old. To many people, growing old-er is equivalent to becoming less attractive. Nowadays, however, we no longer simply have to accept the physical changes that the ageing process entails. The urge to remain young therefore remains very much a topical issue. And the contemporary medical technologies at our disposal also enable us to mask effects of the ageing process of grow-ing old as our grandparents knew it is therefore undergo-ing drastic changes.
