Digital drive:
Digital drive is total unit which convertsall analog inputand
analog output inthe form of digital(0s and 4s) and takes parameters
preprogrammed and stores
data input values and drives the DC motor or Ac motor according
to our speed
requirement in a perfect and actuare way and without
compramising torque
requirement.
Working principle:
It is very similar to analog input and output will converted in
the form of
digital information and all the digital data will be stores in
EPROM.
Microprocessor will take core of the mathematical calculations
and gives the
required results inform of digital information.The drive perform
operatio
accordingly. Whereover any change of parameter will be fed to
the drive through
a hand held programming unit, it will be stored and the
resultingly drive behaves
as the feed parameters. Any fault of the drive or abnormality
causes it will be
displayed in the programming unit with a code no and we can view
the fault
value. This code will help engineer to rectify the fault
immediately.

1.Power supply unit.
2.Converter module with IGBS forwards reverse stacks.
3.On-board field exicitation.
4.control board.
5.Communication board.
6.DCS800 Control pannel programming unit.
7.Control transformer415/220v.
8.Breakers.
9.Control relay R1 to R8.
10.Chokes ( to reduce chromonics).
11.Power Dc contrator(for Dc motor armature).

occurredfaults normally will be secured and identified.By this
motor

the faults can be alarmed and shown.
5. If any fault card can be replaced very easily so
userfriendly.6. It stores 25Nos faults all the details will be
stored and can be
view at any time.
Disadvantages:
1. It is more costly, but overall rediable.2.The operator should
follow the manufacture manual
