Director• The roles of a director in a music video are to oversee how other people

complete their jobs and to guide them to produce a music video. They direct everything from what shots the camera person shoots (e.g. close up shots or long shots and what is edited out) , to where the lighting person positions the lights (e.g. to create a low key lighting or to increase/decrease brightness). The director also has control over the music videos sound person, choosing factors such as the tempo of the video, and the volume of the music video.
