BRIEF DESCRIPTION
PROTEUS® Rope Luffing King Crane with Lattice type boom
has the following main components:
Lattice Boom: built of sections - minimizes crane’s weight
and is easier to assemble or disassemble in offshore
conditions.
Winches: both Main Hoist Winch and Auxiliary Hoist
Winch mounted in the boom lower section, Luffing Winch
is located at the rare side of the Tower.
Machinery House: stand alone, container type unit
housing.
Crane Cabin: designed to give optimal conditions for
crane operator with minimum “disturbing” factors,
optional Air Condition installation available.
Revolving and load carrying structure: designed
complying with highest quality requirements, the
revolving part installed on a King-post which allows
crane’s unlimited rotation in both directions.
One leg type Tower.
PROTEUS® Rope Luffing King Cranes with Lattice type boom
are specially recommended for applications where:
such solution is known from before and accepted,
there are no limitations for crane’s height,
boom length is relatively long and boom weight is of big
importance,
boom must be built in several interchangeable sections,
small diameter King-post is recommended,
short delivery time is required.
