The C8CQB 5.56 mm Carbine is the lightweight, shorter version of theC8 carbine that can be used as an entry weapon in urban areas, and as adefensive weapon for armoured personnel and aircrews or others requiringa compact weapon with the increased fire of 5.56 X 45 mm NATOStandard ammunition.

• The C8CQB Carbine has a Flat Top upper receiver with aCanadian Standard Weaver, Mil-Std-1913 sight rail or TRIADcommon to the C7 Family of weapons. This permits the useof a full range of sighting and tactical accessory options.

• The C8CQB Carbine has a firing mechanism that permitseither single shot or full automatic firings. A 3 round burstoption is also available.

• The C8CQB has 90% of the bullet accuracy and 75% strikingenergy of the C7 Rifle in a weapon with a 33% reduction inoverall length and a 20% reduction in weight.

• The C8CQB Carbine has a telescopic, multi position buttstockthat permits reduced overall length for storage and carry.

• The C8CQB Carbine utilizes over 90% common parts withother C7 family weapons, resulting in commonality of use,training and maintenance.
