Summer Reading continues through July 30, so
you have plenty of time to join in the Summer Reading fun!
Preschool, Ages 0 - 5 — All About You:
Fishing for Good Books
Grades K - 5 — On Your Mark, Get Set, Read!
Grades 6 - 12 — Get In the Game, Read!
Adults — Exercise Your Mind, Read!
All programs are free of charge and open to the public!

A Novel Bunch Book Club Wednesday, July 13, 2:30 PM @ Norway
A Novel Bunch Book Club will read The Things
They Carried by Tim O’Brien. Reading guides are
available at the Norway Library and the Dickinson
County website, www.dcl-lib.org. New members are
always welcome!

Tai Chi Thursday, July 21, 6:30 PM @ Main
Take some time for gentle relaxation and deep
breathing after a busy day, using YouTube Tai Chi
routines. Adults are invited to learn more about the
techniques of this calm, healing exercise.
Summer Fun Film: A League of Their Own Saturday, July 16, 10 AM @ Main
Escape the heat with a summer fun film!
This adult selection, A League of Their
Own, features the struggles and rivalries of
the first female professional baseball league!
Full of teamwork, competition, and fun, this is one
film not to miss! This film is rated PG. Sponsored by
the Iron Mountain-Kingsford Women’s Club.

Learn about the D.A.R.E. program with Dickinson
County D.A.R.E. Officer, Mick Flaminio. This
informative program is for parents and all community

The Page by Page Book Club will read Station

Learn about growing and cooking with herbs with
Beth Waitrovich and Rebecca Krans during this
informative, appetizing program! Open to the public,

Adult Coloring Thursday, July 28, 6:30 PM @ Main
Adults are invited to come to the library for an hour
of quiet stress relief through the magic of coloring.
Using tangles and other fun designs, let loose your
worries as you color your way to a Zen state.
Coloring sheets, crayons and other materials will be
provided. This program is open to adults only.
Mandalas for Adults Monday, July 11, 10 AM @ Main
Design and color your own mandala during
Mandalas for Adults! While the kids are
busy learning animal yoga poses, destress
with mandala coloring pages and instructions to
design your own. This program is for adults only.
Soundz of Time featuring Jan and Gino present: Doo-Wop Malt Shop Music
Tuesday, July 12, 6 PM @ Norway Library
Bring your lawn chairs to enjoy a wonderful summer evening of Doo-Wop Malt Shop
Music with Soundz of Time, at the Norway Library Courtyard! High energy
entertainment duo Jan and Gino are featuring “oldies but goodies” in this doo-wop
themed concert. Ice cream will be available during the show, and all are welcome to
attend! Sponsored by the Friends of the Dickinson County Library.
Mission Statement - Dickinson County Library
The Dickinson County Library provides materials and ser-
vices to help residents of the county obtain the information
needed to achieve their personal, educational and professional
goals. The library will serve as an access point for patrons to
obtain interlibrary loan materials. Emphasis is placed on
providing materials and services that stimulate an interest in
reading and learning among children. Our goal is to provide
these services at a reasonable cost.

The Dickinson County Library is pleased to announce the 2016 selections for the Clara Dierickx Memorial
Library Fund. Established in 2006, the fund emphasizes current children’s fiction and non-fiction books pur-
chased for the Solomonson Branch Library-Norway. The following titles will be on display the week of
July 5-11. You may reserve any of the titles by visiting our website at www.dcl-lib.org, by calling us at
563-8617, or inquiring at the circulation desk.
