GARDEN STALL THIS THURSDAY! Produce available includes: * Eggs * Lettuce * Beetroot * Herbs Come along and grab a bargain! WELCOME BACK FOR TERM 2 Hoping everyone had a safe, restful and relaxing holiday. Term 2 shapes up as another massive term that includes one of our key accountability measures, NAPLAN, for Year 3 & 5. It also includes the generation of Semester 1 Student Reports based on our 5 weekly literacy and numeracy monitoring, assessment and evaluation of every student. Term 2 also includes huge sporting and CAPA responsibilities for our students and staff namely the Athletics Carnival, Star Struck, Zone and Regional Cross Country and the hosting of the Galgabba Spelling Bee. MOTHERS’ DAY STALL The Mothers’ Day Stall will be held on Thursday 10 May in the afternoon session. Thank you to Julie Miller for your organisation. Gifts will be available from $3.00-$5.00 and we will have a sufficient amount of items for students to also purchase something for their grandmothers. MOTHERS’ DAY PAMPER SESSION Our Mothers’ Day Morning Tea will be held on Friday 11 May from 9.30- 10.30am. This year we are planning to pamper our mothers and invite them to join in our “Spa” experience. Never fear Mothers, it’s your turn to rest your weary feet and your children will look after you without being asked or nagged. You will be feeling great after your child does your hair, gives you a manicure, reads you a story and participates in a yoga session alongside you! Afterwards you are welcome to join us for morning tea in the playground if the weather permits (or hall if it is raining). K/1 CLASS Miss Brown will continue to teach K/1 this term until Mrs Smith returns from her sick leave. We are looking forward to the wonderful work that these students are capable of, as witnessed in term 1. CONGRATULATIONS KAITLIN A huge congratulations to Kaitlin R who placed 16th in the 9 year girls 50 metre freestyle at the NSW State Swimming championships at the end of last term. CORRESPONDENCE Our Bulletin will be published every even (second week), as per last term. This issue is a one page beginning of term update, with a full Bulletin posted next week. Please ensure that you have downloaded the Skoolbag App to access the Bulletin (instructions overleaf) or view it on the school website. Last minute reminders and daily updates are posted via this forum. Alternatively, you can opt to receive the Bulletin by email by completing the attached slip. One of our other avenues of communication about successes, reminders or daily events is Facebook. SKOOLBAG APP

Skoolbag is a mobile App we use to communicate with parents. Alerts regarding change in routines, photos of special events and notes are all sent using the App. Often parents who use the App receive information much earlier than those who rely on the newsletter. It is also more environmentally friendly as no paper is required. The App is available on both Apple and Android smartphones. The best thing is…...it’s FREE!
