Magna Carta& Human Rights
The United Nations was formed in 1945 and in 1948 the UN finished writing and adopting the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
The Universal Declaration Of Human Rights
The declaration was created after the world’s experience with the atrocities and aftermath of World War II and the Holocaust. The UDHR acknowledge the need for international human rights to be protected by the rule of law. The committee that worked together to draft this document included leaders from Australia, Canada, Chile, China, France, Lebanon, the United Kingdom, and the USSR.

Eleanor Roosevelt was appointed as a delegate to the United Nations in 1946 and was instrumental in formulating the UDHR.
