DIAGEO Health, Safety & Environment Manager - Lebanon, KY •

Shelbyville, Kentucky PLEASE NOTE THIS POSITION WILL BE BASED IN LEBANON, KY The Health, Environment and Safety (HSE) Manager will be responsible for managing the construction phase of the distillery build located in Lebanon, KY. The HSE manager will manage and coordinate with the primary contractor H&S manager. The HSE manager is responsible for managing the primary contractors as well as all sub-contractors to Diageo and OSHA standards. This individual will be responsible for several contractor management programs such as: qualification, work permit systems and audits. The HSE Manager will also be responsible for the commissioning phase of the project to ensure all internal Diageo Global Risk Management Standards are implemented upon startup of the facility. Upon completion of startup and commissioning this role will serve as the Lebanon Distillery site HSE Manager. Duties and Responsibilities Construction Phase:

• Ensure environmental compliance through all phases of the project. Work with the project team to ensure any and all changes are checked against relevant State, Federal, and Local regulations.

• Ensure compliance with construction SWPPP • Issue relevant work permits based on work being performed • Implement contractor management and training program • Complete audits against Diageo and OSHA standards. Provide corrective

actions, track to closure and verify completion. • Manage incident, accident and near miss program. Track all corrective

actions to closure. • Track, trend and report construction KPIs

Duties and Responsibilities Commissioning and Startup Phase:

• Oversee all testing and verification activities are conducted in a safe manner • Perform risk assessments for non-routine activities • Manage activities according to Diageo Global Risk Management Standards

and Installation Qualification documentation. • Manage incident, accident and near miss program. Track all corrective

actions to closure. • Manage contractor training and management programs • Creation and implementation of site EHS and Security operational SOPs • Implementation of all EHS onboarding training for all Diageo operational

employees Duties and Responsibilities Site HSE Manager:

• Provide direction and make decisions regarding all site safety and environmental activities. Serve as a liaison for regulatory agencies.

• Track & report Governance KPIs (Environmental, Risk, and Health) • Conduct plant safety, health and environmental inspections and on the job

coaching with operations team members. • Ensure full compliance and adherence to site environmental permits. • Prepare and submit all required environmental permit applications and

renewals and routine agency reports, e.g. air, wastewater, SPCC, spill reporting, etc.

• Training program development, improvement and implementation. Includes new hire safety training as well as annual refresher trainings for all employees on a variety of safety and environmental topics.

• Maintain contractor safety program including the qualification process, orientation, and safety compliance.

• Provide guidance and leadership to the site to enhance employee engagement.

• Maintain OSHA logs. • Support and drive the Behavior Based Safety Program for the site. • Conduct risk assessments and make recommendations to site leadership on

risk reduction and control strategies. • Conduct root cause analysis for incidents, accidents and near misses. Provide

corrective actions and lessons learned at the site and corporate at the level. • Manage and ensure adherence to internal audit program schedule. • Roll out/embed key safety and environmental programs including Zero

Harm, SFIP, NFPA, OSHA DISCUS throughout site processes and infrastructure.

• Implement continuous improvement programs as it relates to health, safety and the environment.
