Día de los Muertos or Day of the Dead

• The celebration of the Day of the Dead is a necessary part of death that is traditional to Mexican people. During the week of the 28th of October through the 2nd of November, the popular belief is that the deceased have permission to visit friends and relatives on earth and once again, enjoy the pleasures of life. Mexicans visit the graves of families and friends and adorn them with colorful flowers and different kinds of food, spices, toys, candles, and drinks among other things. This week is considered a joyous celebration of life, not of week of regret for someone's passing.
