Dhaka WASA Signed a Contract Agreement to Rehabilitate 298 km Water line at Mirpur MODS Zone-4 Area (ICB02.4) Dhaka WASA signed a contract to rehabilitate the Water Line at Mirpur area in Dhaka through the modern Trenchless Technology. The Contract was signed on 31.10.2012 between Dhaka WASA and Joint Venture firm named M/S. Navana- Pratibha-Jain Irrigation JV. According to the contract a total 298 km Water Supply Line will be replaced/extended at Mirpur-1,2,6,7, west Kafrul, Agargaon, Pallabi and Rupnagor areas. It will cost about BDT 218 crore, which will be funded by GoB and ADB. The projected time for completion is about three years. Honorable Secretary of LGD Mr. Abu Alam Mohammad Shahid Khan, Chairman, Dhaka WASA board Mr. Rahmatullah, Mr. Md. Shahidullah, Executive Director, Navan Group, Mr. Vikas V. Valsangkar, Vice President, Jain Irrigation Systems Ltd, Mr. Debasis Das, Vice President, Pratibha Industries Ltd were present in the contract signing ceremony presided by Managing Director of DWASA Engr. Taqsem A Khan at the Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel of the capital. Engr. Taqsem A Khan, MD, DWASA and Md. Shahidullah, authorized representative of M/S. Navana-Pratibha-Jain Irrigation signed the contract agreement on behalf of their organization. Other officials of both the parties were present in the ceremony.
