Thebestinsuranceagainstanaccidentisacareful,qualifiedoperator.Mostaccidentsarecausedbythefailureofindividualstofollowsimpleandfundamentalsafetyrulesandprecautions.Usecommonsensewhenoperatingamobileladderstand.

You,asacarefuloperator,arethebestinsuranceagainstanaccident.Therefore,properusageofthismobileladderstandismandatory.Thefollowingpagesofthismanualshouldbereadandunderstoodcompletelybeforeoperatingthemobileladderstand.

Commonsensedictatestheuseofprotectiveclothingwhenworkingonornearmachinery.Useappropriatesafetydevicestoprotectyoureyes,ears,hands,feetandbody.

AnymodificationsfromtheoriginaldesignarestrictlyforbiddenwithoutwrittenpermissionfromLiftsafeEngineeringandServiceGroupInc.

Failuretoheedthefollowingsafetyprecautionscouldresultintipover,falling,crushingorotherhazardsleadingtodeathorseriousinjury.

WEARalltheprotectiveclothingandpersonalsafetydevicesissuedtoyouorcalledforbyjobconditions.

DONOTwearlooseclothing,danglingneckties,scarves,rings,wristwatchesorotherjewelrywhileoperatingthisladder.

AVOIDentanglementwithropes,cordsorhoses. AVOIDfalling.Staywithintheboundariesofthehandrails.Overreaching,whileontheladder,couldcauseinstabilityandresultinafall.Alwayskeeptheunitincloseproximitytowork.Descendandrelocatetheunittopreventoverreach.

DONOTraisethemobileladderstandinwindyorgustyconditions. DONOTincreasethelateralsurfaceareaofthemobileladderstand.Increasingtheareaexposedtothewindwilldecreasemobileladderstandstability.

DONOTmoveorelevatethemobileladderstandifitisnotonafirmlevelsurface.Donotmoveneardepressionsorholesofanytype,loadingdocks,debris,drop-offsandsurfacesthatmayaffectthestabilityofthemobileladderstand.

ENSUREallwheelbrakesarelocked,outriggerjacksaredown(ifequipped)andmobileladderstandislevelpriortoclimbingladder. DONOTexceedtheratedcapacityofthemobileladderstand.

Ascendinganddescendingtheladdershallonlybedoneusingthreepointsofcontact.

Useonlyequippedladderforascendinganddescending. Dousethreepointsofcontactascendinganddescendingtheladder.Facetheladderwhenenteringandexiting. Threepointsofcontactmeansthattwohandsandonefootoronehandandtwofeetareincontactwiththeladderorthegroundatalltimesduringascendingordescending.

WARNING

Anoperatorshouldnotuseanymobileladderstandthat:

Doesnotappeartobeworkingproperly. Hasbeendamagedorappearstohavewornormissingparts. Hasalterationsormodificationsnotapprovedbythemanufacturer. Hassafetydeviceswhichhavebeenalteredordisabled. Hasbeentaggedorblockedoutfornon-useorrepair.

Anyunitthatisdamagedornotoperatingproperlymustbeimmediatelytaggedandremovedfromserviceuntilproperrepairsarecompleted.

MaintenanceandServiceSafetyTips Maintenanceandrepairshouldonlybeperformedbypersonnelwhoaretrainedandqualifiedtoservicethismobileladderstand.
