Figure 1 below shows the employment structure of 3 countries.

Question 3 – SJI 2008

Figure 4 below gives some information about 3 countries.

i) With reference to the information in Figure 4, describe and account for the difference in their levels of development. [7] ii) Apart from the information in Figure 4, explain how other factors may lead to unequal development between countries. Fig 1 shows the comparison between two indicators of development, GNP/capita and HDI.

a(i) Explain how HDI is measured. With reference to Fig 1 describe the relationship between GNP/Capita and HDI ranking. which is a Developed Country (DC), while Figure 8 is a set of pictures taken in Mauritania, which is a Less-Developed Country (LDC).

Question 13 – St Anthony 2009 Fig. 4 gives data for 5 indicators of development for selected countries. All data are for the year 2004 except for cell phone subscribers.
