Objectives of the projects

• To enhance teachers’ understanding of

the role of language in learning

• To arouse teachers’ awareness of the

necessity of teaching their subject

language

• To support teachers with theoretical

underpinnings and effective pedagogies

• To bring about collaboration between

language teachers and subject teachers

Language and Literacy

School decides, although one workshop every other week is the suggested schedule

54 hours

3 hours per module for a total of 27 hours

9 workshops @ 3 hours per module for a total of 27 hours

Teaching ESL Students in Mainstream Classrooms

School decides, although one workshop every other week is the suggested schedule

50 hours

2-3 hours per module for a total of 25 hours

9 workshops @ 2-3 hours per module for a total of 25 hoursWorkshops

5/6-day intensive tutor-training course
