The Fellowship:This Fall, the Posner Center for International Development is launching our first Fellowship program. As a Fellow, you’ll work in a team right alongside Posner staff, helping us meet our loftiest goals and also address our most basic needs—after all, when the coffee machine breaks, so does everything else. A Posner Fellowship is a longer commitment, lasting at least eight months (or the course of your school year) where you’ll be at the center of the hub of development activity in the Rocky Mountain region. A fellowship provides a tremendous opportunity to connect with our Tenants and Members and a unique chance to be a part of our team working to be the leader of collaborative international development.

We Are: • A community of innovators who grow lasting solutions to global poverty through collaborative international development; • A dynamic network that brings together 60+ Tenants and another 100+ Members, working in over 100 countries worldwide on issues across a wide spectrum of international development issues; • Located in one gorgeous 25,000 square-foot shared space in downtown Denver; • An organization continually striving to live out our values (collaboration, entrepreneurship, impact, education, diversity, and innovation) in all that we do, including our staffing decisions; and, • Determined to create sustainable change by being the leader in collaborative international development.

You Are: • A dynamic, hard-working and talented individual that is interested in helping to support our Development team. • Someone with previous fundraising experience; • Proactive, detail-oriented and able to manage time and work effectively without close supervision; • Someone with excellent organizational, writing, verbal, and presentation skills; • An individual with experience in international development, and an interest in shared spaces and social enterprise.

The responsibilities of our Development Fellow will include, but are not limited to: • Developing a donor outreach and stewardship plan to locate new individual and corporate donors and sponsors; and cultivate and retain long-term relationships; • Managing our individual donor database in Salesforce; • Assisting with Posner Center fundraising events; • Presenting about the Posner Center’s work to potential new partners and supporters; • Working with the marketing team to strategize and implement a variety of communications to elicit new supporters and community partners; and, • Supporting grant-writing activities of the Posner Center and Posner Center Tenants.

Anticipated Start Date:October 1, 2015

Length of Engagement and Time Commitment:A commitment through May 2015 is required. Fellows are expected to spend a minimum of 10 hours per week at the Posner Center.
