This presentation is for adults only. Those who attend the meeting in-person will have the opportunity to tour the Hidden in Plain Sight mobile bus and see where drugs may be hidden in a teenager’s bedroom. Registration is required. Sheriff’s Deputy is First in YPSO to be Named Drug Recognition Expert
Congratulations to York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Deputy James Robinson for completing over 100 hours of academic and practical exercises to become the office’s first Drug Recognition Expert (DRE)! Fewer than 50 law enforcement officers in Virginia hold this certification. The program has received national acclaim for its success in identifying the drug-impaired
driver. Officers trained as DREs are often utilized when a driver appers to be impaired and police have determined alcohol is not the cause or sole cause of impairment.
