    FractureTesting Solutions

    Fatigue Crack Growth Modules These convenient solutions package the test and report templates andcalculations you need or atigue crack growth assessment in ull compliance with current ASTM standards.

    Predefned test templates let you efciently test to the ASTM E647 test standard. Features online load-

    displacement, crack length vs. cycles, and da/dN plotting, test shutdown and test parameter changes

    during the test execution.

    Clip Gage Module uses a clip gage and compliance method or crack length measurement.

    Crack Gage Module employs a Krak-Gage oil with Fractomat processor or crack length measurement.

    Direct Current Potential Drop (DCPD) Module measures crack length and provides a voltage proportional

    to the crack length on an analog output. The program allows you to enter your own DCPD calibrations or

    non-standard lead placement or non-standard geometries. Requires a constant current power supply.

    Best o all, the Virtual Specimen eature included in all MTS TestSuite atigue and racture testing

    modules allows you to see how your test article will perorm in a test without actually having to breaka specimen. The modules include Virtual Specimens or standard specimen geometries and tests. You

    defne the parameters or stiness, degradation, initial crack length, crack growth rate, yield load and

    ultimate load that determine the behavior o the Virtual Specimen. Then, you conduct a virtual test to

    receive physically meaningul eedback o specimen behavior without damaging a real specimen. Ideal

    Fracture Toughness Modules Get the test and report templates, andcalculations required to design and run racture toughness tests. These

    tests will comply with current ASTM standards.

    E1290 and E1820 test standards.

    The KIC Module perorms atigue pre-cracking and uses the compliancemethod as primary crack length measurement. It ramps in load, crack

    opening displacement or actuator displacement control.

    The CTOD Module provides test methods or the determination o critical

    crack-tip opening displacement (CTOD) values at one or more o several

    crack extension events. These CTOD values can be used as a measure

    o racture toughness.

    The JIC-CTOD Module eatures online load-displacement plotting, test

    shutdown/restart and test parameter changes during test execution.

    Supported activities are atigue pre-cracking and use o the compliance

    method as primary crack length measurement. This template calculates

    J R curves, CTOD R curves, critical J and critical CTOD.

    Fracture Analyzer This powerul, stand-alone package lets you achievenew levels o insight by conducting custom, in-depth analyses o test data

    fles to produce inormative results. Over time, youll build an extensive

    analysis library that allows you to meet your specifc testing requirements

    with speed and accuracy. Required or standard report creation, this robust

    data tool also allows you to post-process test data or perorming in-depth

    analysis in a graphical and tabular manner.
