Determining Computer Name and/or IP address-Windows 7

Computer Name Right click on the start button on the bottom left of your screen and right click on My Computer. Your desktop may also have an icon that says My Computer on it. Right click on the icon.

After Accessing My Computer click on Properties.

A screen will appear with basic information about the computer. The highlighted area shows you where you can locate your computer name.

Determining the IP Address - Windows 7

1. In the system tray, click the network connection icon and select Open Network and Sharing Center.

2. To view the IP address of a wired connection, click Local Area Connection.

3. Click Details... . Your IP address will appear next to "IPv4 Address".
