Detailed Vedic Procedure to energize a Rudraksha:It will be better if the wearer perform this Pooja by himself, or else one can take the services of a the Guru or the priest of a temple for this procedure.

Following items are required for this procedure:PanchGavya Gomeya (Dung of the cow), GoMootra, Milk, Curd, and Ghee. If these items are not available you can also make the Panchaamrit by mixing these products: Milk, Curd, Ghee, Honey and Sugar. Make at least 100 ml. mixture (say about one cup).Ganga WaterBunch of Kusha or Grass or a clean Spoon9 Leaves of Peepal in one a vesselOne empty vessel or a plate to keep the items of Pooja.Insane (Dhoop and Agarbati)Camphor and a lamp of Gheesandal wood pasteRice with the coating of AsthGandhaNew White or Red cloth (about 1.25 Meters long)Fresh fruits, Supaari, Paan, Clove, Coconut and Flowers of white color.Put Supaari in the Paan leaves And close it using the clove as a stich.Aasan (The seat made of Kusha or Grass or blanket)

Procedure:

Have bath in morning and sit on the Aasan facing East Direction. Better to keep a Parad or Crystal made Shiv Lingha in front of you. Keep all the pooja items near you. Keep the container of Ganga water near you. Wash the Rudraksha with PanchGaveya or Panchaamrit. Keep the Rudraksha bead(s) in the vessel containing 9 Leaves of Peepal in front of you. Keep on empty vessel or plate near it to pore the Pooja items in it. Lit the ghee lamp and insane. Chant the Pachaakshari Mantra for three times. “OM NAMAH SHIVAYE”.

Put some Ganga water drops on your body and the pooja items while chanting these mantras:

“ OM APAVITRAH PAVITRO VAA SARVAAVASTAAN GATOPIVA, YAH SMRET PUNDIRKAKSHAM SA BAAHAYAABHYAANTARAH SHUCHIAH”

OM GURU BHAYU NAMAHOM GANESHAYE NAMAH

OM KULDEVTAABHAYO NAMAHOM ISHTDEVTAABHAYO NAMAHOM MATAPITRABHAYAAM NAMAH

Pore some Ganga Water using the bunch of Kusha or grass in your right palm and wash both your hands. Now again pore some ganga-water in your right palm and drink it while chanting these mantras:

OM KESHAVAAYE NAMAHOM NAARAAYANAAYE NAMAHOM MAADHAVAAYE NAMAH

Now again pore some ganga-water in your right palm and pore it on the earth near you while chanting these mantras:

OM GOVINDAAYE NAMAH

Now keep the index finger on your nose and perform the Praanaayaama and chant these mantras

OM PRAANAAVAASYA PARBRAHMHA RISHIH PARMAATAMA DEVTA DEVI GAAYATRI CHHANDAH PRAANAAYAMI VINIYOGAH

Put some Ganga water drops on the Rudraksha Bead(s) using the bunch of Kusha or grass and chant these mantras:

OM SADYOJAATAM PRAPADYAAMI SADYOJAATAAYA VEI NAMO NAMAH BHAVE BHAVE NAATIBHAVE BHAVASVA MAAM BHAVODDABHAVAAYE NAMAH

Take some white flowers in your right hand and apply the sandal wood paste on it and touch them with the Rudraksha bead(s) and chant these mantras:

OM VAAM DEVAAYE NAMAH, JESHTTHAAYE NAMAH, SHARESHTTHAAYE NAMAH, RUDRAAYE NAMAH, KAALAAYE NAMAH, KAL-VIKARANAAYE NAMAH, BAL-VIKARANAAYE NAMAH, BALAAYE NAMAH, BAL-PRAMATHNAAYE NAMAH, SARVA BHOOTADAMAPASYE NAMAH, MANONMANAAYE NAMAH

Now offer the holy perfume of insane to the Rudraksha by directing the smoke of insane towards it, while chanting these mantras:

AGHORBHAYO ATHGHOREBHAYO GHOR GHOR TAREBHYAHSARVEBHYAH SARVASHARVEBHAYO NAMASTEASTU RUDRARUPBHAYAH

Again take some flowers in your hand and apply some sandal wood paste to them and touch them to the Rudraksha bead(s) while chanting these mantra:

OM TATPURUSHAYE VIDDMAHE MAHAADEVAYE DHIMAHI TANORUDRAH PRACHODAYAAT

Now chant these ISHAAN Mantras to CHARGE the Rudraksha bead(s)

OM ISHAANAH SARV VIDDYAANAAMISHVARAH SARVBHOOTAANAAM BRAHMADHIPATI BRAAHMANODHIPATI BRAHAMA SHIVOMEINASTU SADAASHIVOM

Now take some rice in your left palm. Chant these mantras of energizing (Praanpratishtha) and offer some rice with right hand to Rudraksha bead(s):

OM AAM HALEEM KROM YAM RAM LAM VAM SHAM SHAM SAM HAUM HAM SAH ASYA MAALAAYAH PRAANAAH EEH PRAANAAH

OM AAM HALEEM KROM YAM RAM LAM VAM SHAM SHAM SAM HAUM HAM SAH ASYA MAALAAYAH JEEV EEH STHITHAH

OM AAM HALEEM KROM YAM RAM LAM VAM SHAM SHAM SAM HAUM HAM SAH ASYA MAALAAYAH SARENDRIYAANI VAANGMANSHCHAKSHU

Now again take some rice in your left palm. Chant these mantras of devotion and offer some rice with right hand to Rudraksha bead(s) with every mantra. All these mantras have a different purpose of welcoming the god, offering clothes, rice, flowers, divine perfume of insane, light of the lamp, ganga water, fruits, paan and coconut etc. Perform as directed:

Offering Cloths (Take White or Red Cloth in your right hand and offer it to the Rudraksha Bead(s) while chanting this mantra)

Offering Rice (Now take rice in your right hand offer it to the Rudraksha Bead(s) while chanting this mantra)

AKSHATAM SAMARAPAYAAMI SHRI SHIV MAHADEVYA CHARNA KAMLEBHAYO NAMAH

Offering Flowers (Take white flowers in your right hand offer it to the Rudraksha Bead(s) while chanting this mantra)

PUSHPAM SAMARAPAYAAMI SHRI SHIV MAHADEVYA CHARNA KAMLEBHAYO NAMAH

Offering the divine perfume of insane (Direct the smoke of insane towards Rudraksha Bead(s) with your right hand while chanting this mantra)

DHUP SAMARAPAYAAMI SHRI SHIV MAHADEVYA CHARNA KAMLEBHAYO NAMAH

Offering the light of lamp of ghee (Direct the light of lamp towards Rudraksha Bead(s) with your right hand while chanting this mantra)

DEEP SAMARAPAYAAMI SHRI SHIV MAHADEVYA CHARNA KAMLEBHAYO NAMAH

Offering the Ganga Water (Take the ganga water from the container using the bunch of Kusha or grass with your right hand and put some drops of the Rudraksha Bead(s) while chanting this mantra)

AACHMANIYAM SAMARAPAYAAMI SHRI SHIV MAHADEVYA CHARNA KAMLEBHAYO NAMAH

Offering the Fruits (Take the fruits in your right hand and offer them to the Rudraksha Bead(s) while chanting this mantra)

NAIVEDEYAM SAMARAPAYAAMI SHRI SHIV MAHADEVYA CHARNA KAMLEBHAYO NAMAH

Offering the Ganga Water once again (Once again take the ganga water from the container using the bunch of Kusha or grass with your right hand and put some drops of the Rudraksha Bead(s) while chanting this mantra)

AACHMANIYAM SAMARAPAYAAMI SHRI SHIV MAHADEVYA CHARNA KAMLEBHAYO NAMAH

Offering the Paan (Take the paan in your right hand and offer them to Rudraksha Bead(s) while chanting this mantra)

TAAMBOOLAM SAMARAPAYAAMI SHRI SHIV MAHADEVYA CHARNA KAMLEBHAYO NAMAH

Offering Coconut (Take the coconut in your right hand and offer it to Rudraksha Bead(s) while chanting this mantra)

SHRI FAL SAMARAPAYAAMI SHRI SHIV MAHADEVYA CHARNA KAMLEBHAYO NAMAH

Now lit the Camphor and say Aarati for three times:

KARPOOR GAUR KARUNAAVATAARAM SANSAARAM SAARAM BHUJAGENDRAHAAR, SADA VASANTAM HRIDAYAARVANDE BHAVAM BHAVAANI SAHITAM NAMAAMI

Now chant the Gayatri Mantra for three times:

OM BHURBHUVAH SWAH TATSVITURVARENIYAM BHARGODEVASAYADHIMAHI DHIYOYONAH PRACHODAYAAT

Now chant the Surya Mantra for three times:

OM BHU OM BHUVAH OM SAWAH OM MAHA OM JANNAH OM TAPAH OM SATAYAM

Now touch your Right Eye with the fingers of your right hand and chant the mantra:

OM AAPO JYOTI RASO AMRITAM BRAHMA BHU BHUVAH SWAROM

Now touch your Left Eye with the fingers of your right hand and chant the same mantra:

OM AAPO JYOTI RASO AMRITAM BRAHMA BHU BHUVAH SWAROM

Now touch your Forehead with the fingers of your right hand and chant the same mantra:

OM AAPO JYOTI RASO AMRITAM BRAHMA BHU BHUVAH SWAROM

Now chant the Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra for 5 times.

OM HOM JOOM SAHOM BHURBHUVAH SWAHTRIYAMBAKAM YAJAAMAHE SUGANDHIM PUSHTIVARDHANAMURVAARUKMIVBANDHANAAN MRITYOUMOKSHIYE MAMRTAATBHURBHUVAH SWAROM JOOM SAH HOM OM

Now Chant the Beeja mantras of Rudraksha for 1 time each:

OM NAMAH SHIVAYE, OM HREEM NAMAH, OM NAMAH, OM KLEEM NAMAH, OM HREEM HUM NAMAH, OM HUM NAMAH, OM KROM KSHROM ROM NAMAH

Now pray to Lord Shiva with full faith in him:

OM PURNAMADAH PURNAMIDAM PURNAART PURMUDCHAYATEPURNASAYE PURNMAADAAYE PURNMEVAAYE SHISHAYATEOM SHANTIH SHANTIH SHANTIH

Now you can wear the energized (praanpratishthit) Rudraksha Bead(s) or can place them in the temple of your home, office or workplace. Donate some money along with all the Pooja items in the temple. Take the blessings of your elders for your higher self.

Pran Prathistha Ceremony of Rudraksha

Life infusing procedureChoose an auspicious time for blessings. The following items are arranged for blessings.-- Punchgavya Mix of Cow dung, urine , milk , ghee and curd. In absence use Punchamrit which is mix of unboiled milk , honey , sugar, ghee and curd. -- Water mixed with Ganges water in a achamani pot with Kusha grass for sprinkling and a spoon. --9 leaves of peepal tree arranged on a plate. --Plate for offerings to be placed during Puja. --Dhoop , Incense sticks --Camphor and lamp --Sandal paste , Aromatic oil. --Rice grains mixed with asthagandha. --Ghee lamp (one wick) --Offerings - Cloth, Flower, Fruit, Betel nut - Paan , Coconut

Sit on an Asan facing east. Wash Rudraksha with Punchagavya or Punchamrit .  Then wash with water mixed with Ganges water.  Place Rudraksha in a plate with 9 leaves of Peepal tree . Place an empty plate in front

of this plate for offerings.  Chant 3 times 

"Om Namah Shivaya" Sprinkle water over ourself and all items of Puja chanting: 

"Om Apavitrah Pavitro Va Sarva Vastan Gatopi VaYah Smaret Pundari Kaksham Sa Bahya Bhyantarah Shuchih" 

Translation: May all things unholy become holy, may all lower tendencies depart, just as soon as we transcend may within and without be purified! 

Then Chant:"Om Gurubhyo Namaha Om Ganeshaya Namaha Om Kula Devatabhyo Namaha Om Ishta Devatabhyo Namaha Om Mata Pitribhyam Namaha"

Translation: I bow to guru, I bow to Ganesha, I bow to the family deity, I bow to my personal deity, I bow to my parents.� Place water on right hand with spoon of Achamani and sip after each of these 3 mantras "Om Keshavaya Namaha Om Narayana Namaha Om Madhavaya Namaha" Place water on right hand and pour on ground: "Om Govindaya Namaha"

� Do three short rounds of pranayama breaths. "Om Pranavasya Parabrahma Rishihi Paramatma Devata Daivi Gayatri Chandaha Pranayamae Viniyogaha" 

� Sprinkle water on Rudraksha with Kusha grass from Achamani Om Sadyojaatam Prapadyaami Sadyojataajava Namo Namaha Bhave Bhavenaati Bhave Bhavasvamaam Bhavodbhavay Namaha 

� Take a flower and dip in Sandal paste and aromatic oils and touch on the beadsOm Vamdevaya Namah, Jyeshthaay Namah , Shreshthay Namah , Rudraay Namah , Kaalay Namah ,Kala Vikarannaay Namah, Bal Vikaranaay Namah, Balaay Namah Bala Pramathanaay Namah, Sarva Bhoot Damanaay Namah, Manomanaay Namah. 

� Offer Dhoop to the rudraksha beads "Om Aghorebhyo Ghorebhyo Ghor Ghor Tarebhayaha Sarvebhya Sarva Sharvvebhyo Namaste Astu Rudra Roopebhyaha"

� Again take a flower and dip in Sandal paste and touch on beads "Om Tatpurushaaya Vidmahe Mahadevaay Dheemahi Tanno Rudraha Prachodayaat"

� Chant Eeeshan mantra 

Om Eeshaanah Sarvavidyaanam Eeshwar SarvabhootaanaamBrahmaadipati Brahmanaadhipati Brahma Shivome Astu Sadaa Shivom 

� Chant Pranpratishtha mantra (Life giving mantra). Offer rice to plate before rudraksha while chanting this . Om aam hreem krom yum rum lum vum shum shum sum haum hum sah asya malaya prana eha prana Om aam hreem krom yum rum lum vum shum shum sum haum hum sah asya malaya jeeva eha sthitha Om aam hreem krom yum rum lum vum shum shum sum haum hum sah asya malaya sarveindrayani vagmansyachakshu shodragranapadani ihevagatya sukham chiram thithantu swaha. � Chant these next mantras and give the offerings or give rice to the plate in front of Rudrakshas:

� Burn Camphor and circle it clockwise 3x in front of plate and chant: Karpura Shivam Karuna Vataram Samsara Saram Bhujagendraharam Sada Vasantam Hridaya Ravinde Bhavam Bhavani Sahitam Namami Translation:  White as camphor and kindness incarnate, the very form of Brahman consciousness, you Shiva ever dwell in my heart. I bow to you

� Chant Gayatri mantra 3 times Om Bhur Bhuvah Swaha Om Tat Savitur Varenyum Bhargo Devasya Dhimahi Dhiyo Yonaha Prachodayat 

� Chant Surya mantra 3 times Om Bhu Om Bhuvaha Om Swaha Om Maha Om Janaha Om Tapaha Om Satyam 

Repeat and touch each after each mantra, right eye, left eye, forehead 

Om Apo Jyothi Raso AmtritamBrahma Bhu Bhuvaha Swarom 

Chant Mahamrityunjaya mantra 5 times and offer rice to a plate before rudraksha after each round 

Om Haum Joom Sah ,Om Bhur Bhuvaha Swaha Om Triambakam Yajamahey,Sungandhim Pushti Vardanam Urvar Ukamiva Bandhanan,Mrityor Muksheeya Mamritat Om Swaha Bhuvaha Bhu Om Sah Joom Haum Om 

Chant Beeja mantra 108 times  Om Namah Shivaya Om Hreem Namah Om Namah Om Kleem NamahOm Hreem Namah Om Hreem Hum Namah Om Hum Namah Om Krom Srom Rom Namah 

Bow or supplicate, then chant this last prayer : Om Purnamada purnamidam purnath purnamudyachitePurnasya purnamadaya purna mevaya shishyate
