Design & Build cooling system for printing press machine line Chill rolls & ink drums cooling system for web printing units. System has been in operation 20 hours/day from 1987 to present day. 25 years on from our original system’s commissioning date, a new order was planned for the client’s extension line. This order was cancelled after HEIDELBERG (Germany) representative reported that Gaco’s system (installed in 1987) could operate sufficiently for both the old and new lines. 360 TR total capacity Three water cooled chillers, condenser water pumps, chiller water pumps, cooling towers, controls & wiring, electrical switch board & cables, air separation system, balancing system.

To solve the problem of heavy smell of
ink in the printing press, evaporative coolers were used on the fresh air
supply to increase fresh air percentage to 50% while keeping chiller loading
constant at 70%. Thus, solving the issue at minimal extra cost to the client.
