DETAILED INFORMATION FOR THE APPLICANTS
1. Eligibility Conditions
The categories of persons/applications will be considered for engagement as part time faculty/guest faculty and as detailed below:
I. Retired faculties/staff of DITE, IIT’s, NIT’s, DTTE and other resources person of prominent engineering college for utilising their experience and knowledge upto the level at which they were working at the time of their retirement .However they shall be engaged to teach or assist in teaching only.
II. Any other candidates who are eligible as per the qualification of notified recruitment rules as approved by DTTE/UGC/AICTE/University.
III. Faculty with industrial background may be given preference at appropriate level
(There will be no age bar for the candidate mentioned at point “II”, however maximum age should not be more than 65 years and for candidates at point no. I& III above shall not be beyond 70 years of age.)
2. General I. Technical assistant shall be from the physics/ chemistry/ mechanical/ production/
electronics/ electrical/computer and Tool & Die making background. Required qualification shall be as per AICTE/UGC/DTTE/DITE norms.
II. Classes will be conducted from Monday to Friday (working days) between 9:00
am to 5:00 pm. III. Interview date and list of the eligible candidates will be notified on DITE website
and shortlisted candidates will be informed through email. Therefore, please indicate your email-ID clearly on application form.
IV. The Diploma level courses are conducted from Wazirpur Campus and B.Tech & M.Tech Level courses are conducted from Okhla Campus.

The Govt. of NCT of Delhi has considered the proposal regarding Hlr~ng of Pa::-
T-irne FacultylNon TeachinglLab staff in Degree and Diploma level Institutes (excer~i

Education, Deihi and has approved it vide cabinet decision no. 2260 dated 30-1 !-201!-:,
to trnplernent the proposal to ensure availability of sufficient number of teach~rlg atit'
rlon teaching staff. The scheme as approved by the Cabinet for hiring Part .;ime facull:,
& supporting staff in degree and diploma level institutes is as under:-
I. SCHEME FOR ENGAGEMENT OF PART TlME SERVICES FOR TEACHING AN@ NON TEACHING POST:-
IN. Introduction: - Keeping rn view of the interest of students of the institutes, t h ~ -
princ~pals rnay compile the requirement at the level of institutes for teaching faculty and
other non teaching staff in the relevant disciplineltrade and engage the part time facrllty
w~th the prior approval of Director, TTE for desired number of faculty in their respect~ve
~nstitutes till the vacant sanctioned posts are filled either on regular basis or an contracl
bas~s. This will make the process of hiring of services of part-time teacherslyuest
teachers, timely, smooth and less cumbersome and will lead to impart~ng of qual~ty
education as desired by Government. .
m. Calculation of Vacancy: - The PrincipallHead of the Institutions will work r:::;
the expected number of vacant posts against the sanctioned strength atleast ttlres
months before the start of new Academic Session so as to ensure intt~at~un fii
engagement process well in time. As per AICTE norms, one teaching fi-lculty 17
required to teachltrain atleast for 64 hours in a month. It is proposed that the par-r trme
facuttylguest teacher will be engaged for 16 hours in a month and therefore to meet the
desrred requirement of teaching faculty, it would be necessary to hire atleast 04 p s i t

Two (02) marks for each year of experience shall be assigned to the candidate
However. in case of experience of more than 10 years maximum marks af 20 will L3e
assigned to the candidate. Only completed year of experience shall be counted.
The calculation of net marks obtained by the candidate in rlo their academic
quallficatlon will be worked out in following manners:-

After scrutinizing the deta~l given by the applicants and performance during ink3
,nterv~ew, a rner~t list will be prepared by the PrincipallHead of Institution which will be
placed befare the Director (TTE) being Head of Department for approval. The l~st sc:)
prepared shall contain complete detail of the applicant viz. his name. parent name,
address, telephone number and previous experience, if any. Offer shall be given as per
the merit till all vacancies are filled.
Qnly after a ~ p r o v a l of the Head of Department (TTE), offer letter will b ~ 3 isrj~le(!
and an apgointment wrll be given.
Such appointment shall be for one Academic Year starting from August and
end ing In July of the succeeding year.
