Design Survey File Upload

1. Login as Consultant assigned to the Project to select the project from My Survey Projects.

Project Summary will be displayed. Click on Design Survey workflow step.   

        

2. Select the following parameters to upload a design survey file. 

Feature Schema is Advisor Circular 150/5300‐18B  Select the appropriate State Plane coordinate system. For example, MD83F (NAD83 Maryland State Plane 

Zone, US Foot (EPSG #2248).  Select the survey file format. For example, ESRI Shape  Mark the check box if your data complies with AC‐150/5300‐18. Otherwise specify the horizontal and vertical 

values as feet at 95% confidence level.  Enter a Description (optional) in the box.  Click Select Survey File (ZIP) to locate and select the survey file to upload. A survey file must be a zipped file.  Click Submit Survey for Processing to process the survey file selected. 

 

  

 

3. Upon upload, the system extracts the data and transforms it into airport features. The system then validates that your airport feature specifications comply with AC 150/5300‐18B. During automatic validation, the Survey File Details page shows you the progress of transformation and validation. When finished, the system displays the Survey Summary Page. It lists all the features in the survey file.   

        

 

View Data on Map:

Click on View Data Map to view all Survey features on a map. Select features in table of contents to display them on Map.

Re-Upload Survey File: Click on Re-Upload Survey File if you would like to select a different survey file to upload. After selecting the Survey file Submit Survey for Processing will be clickable.

Reprocess Survey:

Click on Reprocess Survey if you have to change coordinate system or file format and process the same survey file that is uploaded initially.

File Downloads:

After you complete the Design Survey File Upload, you can click on File Downloads to output a file in different formats and State Plane coordinate system. Choices include:

AutoCAD DWG/DXF ESRI Shape Keyhole Markup Language (KML) MicroStation DGNv7 MicroStation DGNv8

1. From the Survey workflow step, click on File Downloads.

2. Click on Create New Download. A dialogue box prompts you for download options.

3. Select the appropriate Coordinate System. For example, LL‐83 for NAD83 Latitude/Longitude, Degrees. Select the file format to download from the available options. Click Create Download to start the download. Note: Click on the file name from Status column to open or save the file to the local computer. 

Validation Summary:

   The Validation Summary report displays overall validation details (success and error messages) detected during validation.  

         

Validation Errors: If there are no errors in the Survey file, there will be a message “This survey contains no errors”. If there are any errors in the survey file, Select the feature from the drop down. Errors are displayed if the feature details are available. Click on any of the errors to view more details about the feature. Click on Download All Errors as CSV to download all errors into a CSV file.

              

Submit for Design Verification

1. Click on Survey Summary and check the checkbox to submit design survey for verification. Note: Once design survey is submitted, Re-upload Survey file or Reprocess survey features are not available.

   

      

 2. Click on Submit for Design Verification. Design Survey workflow step has green checkmark.

This completes the design survey file upload for approval.
