1. Identify emerging PD needs2. Deliver T&D activities across all levels of D&T3. Identify and support PD / T&D initiatives in regional areas of SA4. Work with learning areas (Science, Maths, ICT) to collaboratively deliver T&D opportunities5. Identify and support PD / T&D opportunities for DATTA Executive members.

Membership Services /Assoc. Management / Communications

1. Formulate Membership categories, subscription rates and time frames2. Identify and structure a DATTA Membership package3. Formulate and implement a membership recruitment strategy to a predetermined annual

membership increase4. Identify Association management processes in addition to but complementary to Volunteer services 5. Establish an office base for DATTA .6. Determine a communications strategy / ies with membership

Events Coordination

1. Review the range of curriculum support events with which DATTA is associated2. Undertake new events initiatives to support D&T curriculum delivery, applications and relevance.3. Explore relevant events opportunities with Industry, other educational Institutions and Professional

Associations

Industrial 1. Research and establish benchmarks in relation to the conduct of D&T in areas such as :Staffing policies ;Class sizes OHW&S in workshops; Budgeting / finances; D&T teacher professional standards; D&T teacher training; recruitment; SSO support

2. Liaise with Institutions, Departments and Organizations whose policies and practices directly impact / influence D&T teacher welfare, teaching practices, workshop organization and safety etc
