Climate in The Sahara desert• The Sahara winds can reach hurricane level and often

give rise to sand storms. • Half of the Sahara receives less than an inch of rain

per year, and the rest receives up to 4 inches (10 centimeters) per year.

• Extreme dryness is one of the Sahara's characteristics• Daytime temperatures, especially in summer, are

among the hottest in the world. Highs of more than 38°C.

• Because the air is so dry and has so few clouds, the temperature drops quickly after sunset. Differences of as much as 28°C.

Limiting Factors That Causes The Vegetation To Change

•Extreme heat •Lack of water •Vegetation must be able to adapt to

unreliable precipitation and excessive heat

Human Impacts

•hunting animals that are native to the Sahara Desert

•Overuse any oasis that they find•Development of cities •Oil drilling •Irrigation •Interference of natural ecosystems •Pollution •Agriculture

•The Sahara Desert is being destroyed by development. So as population increases so does the demand for water. The streams, and ground water sources, once used by animals have been drained for industries, agriculture and people
