Construction: The base panel for SOLAFORM shuttering plywood is made with selected pine veneers. The core veneers are machine edge jointed guaranteeing high product stability. The veneers originate from plantations owned by PALMASOLA, guaranteeing the supply of raw materials for SOLAFORM shuttering plywood production. The sustainability of the forest plantations is guaranteed by international third party certiꢀcation authorities, FSC and PEFC.Gluing: The phenolic resin adhesive used, conforms to EN314-2 class 3 for exterior use. The plywood is calibrated and beneꢀts from single piece face veneers, creating a smooth surface ready for the application of the medium density overlay paper (MDO) face. This creates the durable surface of SOLAFORM shuttering plywood.Faces: High quality FSC certiꢀed MDO 3323 paper is used for the front face. The back face is FSC certiꢀed dark brown 120g/m2 smooth phenolic ꢀlm.Edges: All four SOLAFORM shuttering plywood edges are sealed with acrylic resin paint. All SOLAFORM shuttering plywood panels bear the PALMASOLA company logo for identiꢀcation purposes.Tolerances: Size tolerances length and width is ±1mm per meter. Squareness tolerance is ±1mm per meter in the diagonal measure. Thickness tolerance is ±0.5mm.

Below you will ꢀnd important information and tips regarding the handling of SOLAFORM shuttering plywood with the aim to reach the highest number of uses in concrete formwork.Delivery: SOLAFORM shuttering plywood is delivered in packs oꢁering complete security during transit , handling, discharging and warehousing.Pack opening: On opening each pack, you gain access to the individual SOLAFORM shuttering plywood sheets. This is a two person task, which will help to avoid any mishandling errors and edge damage, and ensure safe ꢀtting and positioning.Concrete formwork: During the formwork construction process, if it is necessary to cut the SOLAFORM shuttering plywood to ꢀt the form sizes, we recommend painting the freshly exposed edges with sealant to avoid water absorption. When cutting SOLAFORM shuttering plywood, we suggest using tungsten carbide tipped saws. This type of saw will provide the cleanest saw cut. To ꢀx SOLAFORM shuttering plywood you can use nails. These ꢀxings should be well set in from the panel edge. Form release agent: MDO coating to be oiled twice before ꢀrst use, and thereafter once before each subsequent re-use of the form. Only a suitable accredited form release agent to be used. Do not use any products that contain mineral spirits, diesel fuel or automotive oil.De-assembling the concrete formwork: This is a very important step to assure and attain the maximum number of uses. In this operation, avoid the use of steel crowbars, substituting them with wooden tools to prevent unnecessary surface depressions. Storage: Full packs of SOLAFORM shuttering plywood, as well as individual sheets, should be protected against rain and sun.Re-uses: To ensure the maximum number of uses, the above mentioned tips should be strictly followed. SOLAFORM shuttering plywood can achieve up to 25 uses with the good handling practices mentioned.
