COLLINSGeorge G. COLLINS, age 45, beloved citizen of our city, died at the home here Wednesday morning after an illness dating from his days of service in the U.S. Army during the World War. Mr. Collins was born at Lincoln, Ark.; was inducted into the army at Fayetteville on July 21, 1918, served several months overseas. Soon after his discharge he was given a rating of total disability and his health continued to fail gradually until death.The family have made their home here for the past several years and everyone knew and loved Mr. COLLINS who, despite his severe suffering, was cheerful, patient and friendly to all.Surviving him of the immediate family are his widow and one son. Funeral services will be held at the Roberts Chapel Friday afternoon at 2:30 and burial made in the Westville Cemetery. The American Legion will assist in the funeral service with military honors for a departed, beloved buddy.Card of Thanks - We are sincerely grateful for the kindness shown us during the sad hours caused by the death of our husband and father. 91 a resident of Lincoln, passed away November 4, 2012 in Cane Hill. She was born June 02, 1921 in Cowetta, Oklahoma, the daughter of Robert A. and Elizabeth Hudson Hunton.

Jewell was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church. She was an avid seamstress and flower gardener.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Edgar C. Collins and her second husband, Aaron M. Behl; five brothers, Emery Hunton, Dalton Hunton, Raymond Hunton, Gordon Hunton, and Floyd Hunton; two sisters, Gladys Tincher and Virgie Jones.

Survivors include one son, Fred Collins and wife JoAnna of Prairie Grove, Arkansas; one daughter, Deloris Russell and husband James of Augusta, Kansas; one brother, Eual Hunton ofLincoln, Arkansas; one sister, Dora Hobbes of Portales, New Mexico; four grandchildren, Ronda Martin, Sheila Paul, Richard Collins and Debra Houser; eleven great grandchildren, nine great great grandchildren.

Robert Dewey Collins age 93 a long time resident of Lincoln, Arkansas passed from this life on Dec.19,2014 in the Heroes Haven Unit of the Fayetteville Veterans Hospital.

Robert was a veteran of World War II, serving in Europe from October, 1944 through March, 1946.

He was born on Oct.14,1921 to Pete & Elizabeth Collins. "Rob" as he was called by friends and family was a farmer and raised broilers for Tyson Foods for many years. He also was the carpenter on the five homes he built through the years he shared with his beloved wife Frances. Rob also found some time in later years to work at Apple Town in Lincoln, which gave him much joy.


Robert is preceded in death by his parents Pete & Elizabeth Collins, a sister, Dorothy Risley, brothers, Edgar Collins, Roy Collins, and Walter Rich, son in-law Jesse Yother, great grand daughter Jennifer Enis, and his beloved wife of 70 years Frances, who he lost in 2010.

He is survived by his two daughters, Anna Yother of Muskogee, Ok. , Linda Brumfield & husband Roger of Montesano, Wa. Four grandchildren, Robert Yother & wife Pam of Wilburton, Ok., Debra Enis & husband Steve of Vinita, Ok., Tammy Granberg & husband Alan of Tacoma, Wa., Terri Besaw & husband Kyle of Montesano, Wa. Eight great grandchildren, Amy Watkins & husband Brad, & Bryan Yother all of Elk City, Ok., Tiffany Thompson of Muskogee, Ok. Vickie Adams & husband Nate of Richardson, Tx., Sierra & Lincoln Granberg of Tacoma, Wa., Hailey Toyra & husband Kyle of Olympia, Wa.,and Madison Besaw of Montesano,Wa. She was an excellent cook, an accomplished seamstress, and quilt maker. Pauline loved little children. Pauline was preceded in death by her devoted husband of sixty-two years, Clarence Reed, one daughter, Vickie Thiesse; two brothers and six sisters; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Survivors include three daughters, Louise Howard and husband Wilburn of Fort Smith, Arkansas, and Bertie Jane Prigge of Isanti, Minnesota, and Shirley Holsinger and husband Donn of Allen, Texas; one son, Wesley Reed and wife Kathi of Jonesboro, Arkansas; two sisters, Marie Jones of Parma, Michigan, and Treasel Lea Speck of Buffalo, New York; nine grandchildren, Bobby Dean Swain, Jeff Holsinger, Shannon Sensing, Jill Holsinger, Tracy Haskett, Paula Prigge, Jon Reed, Brittany French and Megan Thiesse, and eleven great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Tuesday before the service.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, October 16, 2012 - 2:00 P.M. at the Luginbuel Chapel Prairie Grove. Burial will be in the Beaty Cemetery near Lincoln, Arkansas. No graveside services will be held at the cemetery.

Anna was also “Nana Anna” to four great-grandchildren, Jenna, Jack, and Jacey Watkins, and her youngest great, Jae Alexis Adams born in October 2016; her younger sister, Linda Kay Brumfield and husband Roger of Montesano, WA; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins, whom she enjoyed and loved so much.

Anna attended the Chandler Road Church of Christ for many years and was involved in the Meals on Wheels and The Bear ministries, which gave her much joy.
