FUQUAY-VARINA -- Faye C. Newton, 64, formerly of Raleigh, died Tuesday morning, June29th, 2004. She was born on September 13, 1939 in Raleigh and graduated from NeedhamBroughton High School. She was an avid antique collector, a wonderful mother andgrandmother, and homemaker. She had a great love of animals and leaves behind manybeloved horses and dogs.

Faye is survived by her husband of 47 years, Early E. Newton, Jr.; daughters, Liz NewtonGregory and husband, Randall, of Winston-Salem and Kim Newton Waerness and husband,Bjorn, of Scottsdale, AZ; by her grandchildren, Steven, Morgan, Michael and McKenna; byher mother, Emily L. Roberts, of Raleigh; by her special friends, Linda Newton and BrendaNewton, both of Raleigh; and by other family and friends.

Faye was preceded in death by her brother, Harold Clifton.

A Memorial Service will be held this evening, Thursday, July 1st at 7 PM in the Chapel ofMitchell Funeral Home-600 St. Mary's Street.
