Dept. of Periodontology

A workshop on “Capacity building on communication skills and doctor patient relationship” was

held on 14th

november 2014 by Dept. of Periodontology. Dr Sushi Kadankuppe, senior lecturer,

Dept of Public Health Dentistry, V.S. Dental College. It was actively attended by twenty five

interns, post graduate students and staff who found the session extremely informative and

interactive .

Workshop on Rationale for Tobacco cessation and clinical interventions on tobacco use and dependence

was carried out by Dept. of Periodontology. Dr. Sushi Kadanakuppe on 31st may 2016.The participants

were taught individual and group counseling for patient unwilling to quit and for patients who recently

quit also Problem solving and coping skills were taught. Which was followed by group activity and

internalization of Tobacco cessation skills. 52 participants took part in the workshops. The workshop was

attended by the staff, PGs, interns of the various departments.
