GRT Institute of Engineering and Technology , the jewel in the crown of GRT Group of

Educational Institutions promoted by Sola Raju Dhaunuskodi Raja Thai Ammal

Memorial Educational Charitable Trust .

entrepreneurs, scientists, engineers, educationists and health care experts.

The GRT Group of Education Institutions is promoted by Mahalakshmi Education &

Chari- table Trust. This Organization was initiated by the visionary Sri.G.Rajendran

the chairman of the GRTT Group and well supported my his son

Shri G.R.Anandapadmanabhan Managing Director of GRT Group.

The sheer dedication and commitment in offering quality education has made GRT

Group of Education Institutions grow from strength to strength each year. Today the

group comprises GRT Mahalakshmi Vidyalaya Matriculation Hr.Sec. School, GRT

Institute of Engineering and Technology, GRT College of Nursing and GRT College of

Education. Each one has come to be known as reputed institution of its own field.

GRT Institute of Engineering and Technology, was established in the year 2008 and

has already grown in to one of the most reputed institution in the city. The desire of

the chairman is to provide aspiring technocrats the right knowledge base and proper

training in the field on par with leading institutions of the world. The courses offered

are : B.E. (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical & Electronics) Automobile, Electronics &

Communication, Computer Science), M.E. (Communication & Networking,

ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

The department was established in 2008 with 60

students, and was increased to 120 by 2013. The

department has the post graduate course

(M.E.-Communication and Networking) with intake

of 24 established in the year 2013. The department

boasts of dedicated staffs who work tirelessly to

bring out competent, disciplined and technologically

sound engineers. Moreover, our department

prepares engineers in state of the art technologies in

a conducive learning atmosphere, which ensures

better interaction between students and staff

through counseling. We also have a fully equipped

laboratory that enhances the students’ experience in

solving practical engineering problems. Faculty

members having ample experience in the areas of

specializations include VLSI Design, Communication

Systems, Networking, DSP, and Embedded Systems,

DIP, Medical Electronics and related software &

hardware tools.

I am extremely happy in releasing the half yearly newsletter,

high lighting the activities of the department between 2015 and

2016. The laudable exercise of the students and staff of this

Institution has already brought I congratulate the staff and

students for this achievement. I wish that everyone

to grow to further high standards. I congratulate all the
