FY 2014 Strategic Plan Results
The Mission of the OsteopathicManipulative Medicine(OMM)
department at UNTHSC-TCOM is tooptimize the practice of OMM and
provide leadership in teaching,research, and clinical practice to make
OMM recognized and practiced asevidence-based medicine.
Administration
Engage faculty and staff byencouraging the alignmentof professional goals andactivities with thedepartment's strategy andcontribution to the HealthScience Center and itsstakeholders.
Facilitate faculty and staffdevelopment activities and training toincrease knowledge and skills.
Faculty and staff members willattend a minimum of 2development and/or trainingcourses each year.
Evaluate and positively improve staffjob satisfaction by encouragingparticipation in a bi-annual jobsatisfaction survey.
Survey staff members in early Januaryand late August via anonymous onlinesurvey using standardized questions.No more than 20 questions.
Plan and organize departmentactivities and events by group effort tofacilitate camaraderie.
Establish committees to provideinput from each area of thedepartment to promote teamwork.
Increase visibility of the departmentthrough enhancement of marketing andcommunications activities.

internally, but could potentially be distributed externally
to increase exposure to others.
