The department has state of art laboratories with various test benches, testing instruments, numerical relays. de-veloped experiments in Power Systems. The department also possesses 4 computer laboratories enriched with li-censed soft-wares like MATLAB, PSCAD & PROTEUS. The Microprocessor & Micro-controller lab is furnished with numerous development boards including TMS320LF2407 eZ DSP started kit for developing DSP applications. The Automation & Control lab is equipped with number of PLCs by Siemens & AB.

PG students carry their dissertation work in industries like Atlanta

Transformers, Baroda Electric Meters & Elcon, Ohm Encon. Baroda.

The students have access to all the testing instruments & facilities

provided in the laboratories.

Major facilities in the High Volt-age laboratory are related to the generation and measurements of high voltage AC, DC and Impuls-es.

The electrical machines laborato-ry sports various test benches and a Data Acquisition System.
